Now modifed to work for most cards, OS: Win 7 & 8.1

***Note for Win 8.1 to install and use this driver you must disable the driver signature enforcement every boot, or enable the test mode.***

I have not tested this driver, as always use at your own risk, it might not work.

Then this isn't the real Mantle driver :(

Or does your system not support Dual Graphics?

    @Asder, thanks :)

    On every boot!?

Are you sure it's not only for when you're about to install the driver?

    Thanks again mate.

Enter an elevated command prompt (Win+R, type "cmd", hold Shift+Ctrl while pressing Enter), and enter following commands:

    bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
    bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

kimdotcom ?really asder ? guys ! this isn't even a beta driver . but Toshiba has it you say ? of caurse they make a lot of chip (20nm if I recall) so I expect amd would supply them with a driver . be patient a bit guys ! how I can tell ? disable integrity checks is a huge hint ! INTEGRITY CHECKS ! I don't think asder account was hacked but just in case , better be safe then sorry !

Thank you sir, the driver installs and run my Warhammer 40,000 games flawlessly without issues,

but what if I were to remove this driver and install a future WHQL or beta driver? What would I have to type into CMD in order to remove this "test mode" and the watermark in the lower right corner?

    Print-screen of my desktop:

    Thanks in advance

Edit: the next logical step would be:
It did disable the test mode (please correct me if this is inaccurate) and also removed the "test mode" watermark in the lower right corner, not to sure about that integrity check thou.

Your conclusion is correct, that's how you turn it off again.
The only way to remove the watermark is to edit the windows MUI files, which really is not a good idea if you don't know what you're doing.
Just live with it until the next beta or WHQL.

Toshiba is a reputable company that has made a mistake, which is good for us.
If you can get a hold of the original file, you may check what has changed.

    What are you afraid of?
    A driver-based Bitcoin mining rootkit?
I bet you verify every file you download by the provided SHA-1 of the file creator too, huh?

You have to realize that everything in the Internet is about trust.
If you didn't estabilish the channel of trust yourself (by knowing the author of a file personally), you are always giving the authority up to someone else who you can hopefully trust.
And if only one peer in your web of trust is compromised...well do the math yourself.

Have fun in the world of IT Security.

You have to enable test mode because Asder had to modify the install inf's (text files) to add the full suite of adaptors. This means the driver appears to be modified according to the security catalogue, and therefore this requirement.

The other adaptors aren't there purely because Toshiba requested this driver specially from AMD, and paid for the whql themselves.

@praisethewind : if I aint mistaken , this is a alpha driver ! if you ever used a nightly firefox or a nightly chrome you know full well all kind of issue arise . and with the various nsa of the planet using scarce fast fourier transform to stay under the radar means we have to be carefull what we download not because I don't trust them , but because virus worm and all those rarely make a computer work better !

You are on the wrong site.

If you dont know what test mode is, you dont belong here.

Asder00 has not been hacked, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with turning off driver signing as long as you know what you are doing, and dont mind the watermark.

Oddly enough, Asder00 DID find a cgminer in the flexx driver hoax that was floating around a while ago....

Believe it or not, the website is still up.

I was referring to that event, might not have sounded like it.

I've actually seen 3 or 4 of these, but they're really easy to notice due degraded performance even on high end systems and easy to remove manually, hence my "rootkit" argument.
Most of the time you can even find the Bot name+password+mining pool and report them.

I feel kids like drbaltazar have very different attack vectors to fear.

    Back to Topic:

These drivers gave me the very first Catalyst induced bluescreen I've seen in years!
Something related to atikmdag if I recall correctly, sadly I didn't take notes.
I wonder if it occured because of incompatabilities from Toshiba for desktop cards or asder00s modifications.

I checked versus the 13.30 release and yes, there's another 11% of OpenGL 4.4 in this 13.350 here. I also am planning on waiting a bit on this, if there isn't a new driver from AMD by the end of the week then I will probably try this driver.

straight from Robert Hallock at AMD (Thracks):

"Update: The "Mantle" driver reported by WCCFTech and other websites does not actually contain any libraries for Mantle. As of today, the driver's code is more than 6 weeks old and generates irrelevant performance.

Mantle remains on track for January, and you'll be sure to hear the story straight from us this month."

6 weeks old... does that make it older than the Jan 6th drivers?

BTW I thought I heard Mantle was 100% pushed to Feb a few days ago...
