5.01.29.2026 kinda failed for me
Partly failed for me too at first, only the power plan though. Simply rebooted and ran the installer a second time, all succeeded then.
Mainboard is MSI MEG X570 Unify, for which there's a new beta BIOS with AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 184.108.40.206 by the way.
Happened the same to me with a b450 tomahawk max II. First time all ok except power management, reboot run the installer again and all install without problems. Testing it for now
If you happen to get an unsupportred RAID server error, I noticed that happens if the time and date format aren't default in Region -> Additional Settings
Second try failed as well, exact same summary.
5.02.19.2221 released on amd.com
With better and more mature task scheduler, I believe that 7900X3D and 7950X3D will perform even better.
The approach is like intel's hybrid architecture: P-cores and E-cores.
Now with the new AMD 7900X3D and 7950X3D CPUs we have another hybrid architecture: CCX-high_boost and CCX-3D_cached.
AMD Chipset Drivers 5.03.24.2328 from Gigabyte or station-drivers.com
Installed 5.03.24.2328 on my x470 and nothing blew up so i guess it's okay...looks like the only thing new here for me was the security amdpsp, went from 5.22 to 5.23
Amd Chipsets Ryzen (3XX/4XX/5XX/6XX/TRX40) drivers Version 5.04.x WHQL
No installer with these it seems, need to manually install through device manager. There is an install script but it doesn't seem to work properly.
DO NOT UPDATE THE SMBUS DRIVER THIS PACKAGE WILL INSTALL A MUCH OLDER VERSION.
I've learnt to wait for AMD's proper releases. But, thanks for the heads up.
New AMD chipset driver available, 5.05.16.529 (Release Date 5/23/2023)
EDIT: Thats the B550 link, be sure to check your board
Sigh.. they still don't install here in Win 11 for me, everything reports Fail as status. With X470 Taichi and 5600X. The previous ones didn't install either.
Maybe because my OS is in English but the installer starts up in Dutch.
Installed just fine here on AM5 and W11.
Then uninstall your old ones first
Already tried, only SMBus installed after that, all the rest still failed. I'll have to look up some way to manually install these.
Where did you download your package from?
From AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x470
just wanted to check, because there were a few OEM releases of this package too, and was wondering if that was causing your issue.
You may need to use the AMD Uninstall Tool (on their site) to completely gut all your AMD software, and then reinstall everything, doing your chipset drivers FIRST.
It's this one right? https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601
I really wasn't expecting this to help. Now I managed to install the majority of drivers, did a restart but these 2 are still not installing even after a restart.
