    Limit performance? There is none to microscopic (1%) performance gain with all cores maxed extra performance. That is just ill-informed myth that people (and most likely third party water cooling manufacturers) throw around. The most it will do is maybe be slightly quieter than stock cooler.

    should have said on any non office rig.
    yes, for the cpu it wont matter much, but any one with dedicated gpu will see a difference, cause gpu/chipset/vrm/ram/nvmes will all have significant higher temps, and especially on gpu limit your clocks, hence performance.

    e. g. Nv starts boost throttling past 47*C,
    and no one buys a 3700 or higher to "just" surf the web, so still valid for +90% of users to have at least an AIO (setup as exhaust)..

    People actually believe used AMD CPU's are worth pennies.

    I was selling a 3800X and apparently this is true, response I got from someone on a forum.
