Should the Official INF be modified or not ?

    All I need to see is basic game config files & graphics on screen couple times to determ where is the issue. When I know where is the issue I apply fix way or another with "anything goes policy as long working and in decent speed".

    @Mineria

    No need packs are fine.. I just tested them here.. works on WinRAR/7-zip. Something on the download I suspect..

    Checking downloading now..

    yeah, gonna still update as I downloaded them all and it gave me problems. Although all the sizes were correct makes me think this is just some common.

    -

    As for Starcraft 2.. I just got great news on a side here that whole AA none sense of Starcraft 2 is all about correct profiling. 1-0 genetix-ATI to people our
    v3.70 should work flawless on AA there as is we ain't using old profiles as Official catalyst drivers are.

    Worst case I'll update the driver profiling and dump speed on top of what we have now.

    I just wanted to come here and thank TwL for all the hard work. With the rest of the driver modding community basically retired, you are all that we have left, and you work damn hard to make us happy. So seriously, THANK YOU!

    Yeah, thank me later..

    I just took screenshot from friend of my who I 'use' to test my drivers on CFX of 'StarCraft II'.. Seems this ain't so simplistic as I though however. I do believe that
    drivers will work flawless. This is an profile update thing as soon I got something on it.. I'll drop it on screen, but as for plain drivers v3.70 + StarCraft II it would look like AA is
    missing and cannot yet be forced by simply catalyst styles or against EXE profiling.

    anyway.. Eyefinity people I could need a test bunny if someone has multiple monitors more the better + one-two of these HD5970 cards I got here drivers for you to test up.

    Appreciate, if someone from there would private message me.

    im currently using 10.7 WHQL. I dont understand much about driver structure or functions. Can someone in brief words explain in what catalyst versions 3.70 driver is based to and where is superior/inferior compared to 10.7 WHQL? Cause 10.7 got good comments after benchmarked against 10.6 WHQL.

    thnx

    Read the first post.

    @commonly

    Eyefinity resolutions:

    I got the current 10.5a build now under testing. I get the results probably today and got a fellow testing now who knows what his doing. Hopefully
    these will command and conquer. I will post the builds up asap, if good (with the new Installation Builder for Eyefinity designed specifically), if however
    the latest build now fails to process/function correctly on Eyefinity I will do another test tomorrow morning. When up driver version will be v3.71.

    System tested is 3 monitor FullHD 5 GPU Eyefinity system.

    StarCraft II:

    To return a little, if there is any new 'hotfix' or an fixed profile or such by AMD/ATI. I will add it the minute I notice it I got now system from friend where I can test the game on HD58xx CFX hardware. So, I can take screenshots are effects applied or not. Anyway, will fix if possible as for now profiling the game for 'Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway' seems to be functional at least in some level.

    Downloading 3.70 10.8b5 single monitor driver now will report back soon.

    I am still using the 10.5a 3.50 mutlimonitor driver (even though I only have 1 monitor) and they have been amazing for me so far!)

    I see that you have taken these drivers off the main page... was there something wrong with them I should be aware of?

    Thanks again TwL you sir are a legend!

    @CPC_RedDawn

    Nope it was basically just my screw up on categorizing as basically been playing ball game from begin of finding exactly where are the criterion where 1 drivers stops working and where another driver would perform very well.

    the 3.50 failed this concept as it should of been in 'low resolution'-usage where as 3.49 is again 'high & low resolution'-usage/all. So, now on first page we have cleared the idea what will work in which kind of setup clean up and to how high resolutions. Which helps Eyefinity people to understand better what to use and anyone with single/dual monitor to get best available driver.

    @commonly

    speaking of eyefinity.. found an pretty decent combination which needs a bit more 'development' or tweaking for it to perform through everything. gonna
    take me a day or so to go through the trouble, but the main point is eyefinity main driver will be updated very soon.

    As also like to mention that eyefinity will have completely unique installation back compatible of course to single cards, but I will be forcing the ATI
    software to work with the drivers correctly and that will not work straight up as any normal driver installation. Anyway, I've already built an solution for
    this here. Main problem now is to find stable enough DirectX 11 work around to work through games without lags.

    Just installed 10.8b5 3.70 driver and got BSOD during installation.

    Rebooted, got a message saying "No ATI board found or driver is not installed" and a second message saying "No ATI graphics driver is installed".

    However, I looked in device manager and it stats that driver 8.67.2 is installed and working correctly... Yet when I open CCC there is no graphics tab just Hydragrid...?

    Will reinstall and see if I can fix this...

    EDIT:

    And here we go again!!! Installed these drivers again. They installed ok, but Crossfire is broken yet again. 2nd GPU will not clock up to 3D clocks! What the hell!?

    EDIT 2:

    Ok noticed something in device manager when scanning for any hardware changes, I get the standard VGA display adaptor no problem... But I also get this...

    Is this normal?

    [IMG]

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    EDIT 3:

    Installed the drivers again without a hitch, but STILL no 3d clocks on 2nd GPU!!!! This never used to happen before. I even reinstalled W7 at one point and installed official WHQL 10.6 drivers and it happened then as well!

    I have checked ALL entries of "EnableULPS" in registry and ALL entries are disabled (set to 0). I even set them all to 1 (enabled) rebooted, then changed them back to 0 (disabled) and rebooted again and still a no go. The only thing that worked for me before when this happened was installing the multi monitor 3.50 drivers... This is very strange.... Why is this happening? What am I doing wrong? I follow the instructions and it still will not work. Earlier version of these genetix drivers worked fine. Its when they got up to 3.40/.9/.50 that this started happening. Do you think I did something wrong down the line and some files are still left on my rig....???? This is bugging the hell out of me, I do not want this to keep happening everytime I install a new driver.

    EDIT 4:

    Just installed 3.49 10.5a based multi-monitor driver and low and behold Crossfire is working again. 2nd GPU will clock up to 3d clocks now.

    It seems that anything newer than 10.5 based drivers simply does not work for me, and seems to break crossfire for me?????

    Could you look into this TwL if possible?

    Hi Twl i have a question

    1)- when u said unistall ATI drivers drivers until says 'Standard VGA Display Adapter' then reboot, but my question is about point 2 of ur guide "2. reboot as usual.
    OPTIONAL: If you wish to have TRUE clean up. run 'extra\force_fullcleanup.cmd' first before 'ati_****_cleaner_v3.2.cmd' reboot & this will remove the LEGACY AMD hardware to active system for next installation.
    NOTE: that this might introduce BSOD, if system has even slightest stability issue and this would make Microsoft Windows temporary degrade performance and on CFX case even disabling linking is known." we remove ati drivers and restart or remove ati drivers and run first like said point 2 then restart?

    2)- i read a line in the driver information text that said "+ From v3.70 'July 22' Application Profiles are updated inside driver now" the question is we dont need now to install separetly the aplicattion?

    Bye and sorry for my bad english

    I WANT TO HUG YOU! AHAHAHA! Your new drivers in the FF14 benchmark (I know you don't care for benches) went from 3740 to 4140 in points! I got like +14 FPS in some areas on it! Keep up the fantastic work man.

    @TWL :
    i've been wanting to ask this since i joined this forum,
    is your driver work for single card ?

    and will i get any benefit from it ? or should i stick with the official ? (you know because my card is old timer 3870)

    if it is usable on my card, which version is the best for me ?

    These are the best drivers for every card. There is a single card version. You should go with this version. Here is a link that from now on is also available on the front page. Remember, the best version for you is always the most current available.

    Thank you TWL! Great drivers. Have not run into any issue so far. Dual Monitor with CFX, Dirt 2 is amazing...Ultra setting, 8xMSAA...awesome. StarCraft II...CFX is overkill lol...but no problems there. Will try out other games in a bit...

    Vantage and Heave 2.1 both about the same as before, but hey...at least it works!

    Thanks TWL!
