Hi Rich_Guy.... Tested new driver Scattering gone after booting windows .... Well Mouse lag is there on top right corner, any idea when Hotfix will be available, i think that will b fixed in 11.2a Hotfix
Disabling forced AA on another game (doesn't matter if its a crap game), huge failure there. Removing choice once again. When are they going to just remove forced AA altogether ? This is starting to look like the "fix" of choice for the Cat team. Lame AMD/ATI, real lame.
So 'CAP' (catalyst application profiles?) tweak our hardware to run at what AMD considers the best settings on a per application setting? So they chose what they think what we want? Once its installed, can I view or tweak anything or does it all just exist in the background, hidden? Sorry for the n00b questions, first time I've come across this.
Yeah i noticed the scattering was gone, not sure on the when the hotfix will be available, or if theres going to be one, mind you, i wouldn't be surprised if there is a one, as these are just the 11.1a hotfixes with an extra few days of work.
AA doesn't work in that game so its not removing choice it is stopping everything going invisible. Use some common sense they aren't going to remove it without a reason.
Breach game is awesome! I use Morphological anti-aliasing. does this CAP let normal AA work in Breach game? My rank is lieutenant. i want to reach commander to get recon class opened!
Why remove it at all ? Why waste time bothering. I had a look (I admit I didn't look into it before I posted, I just saw " Removed forced AA" again)and it's a dev problem, not ATI's. It's well documented. They could have used that time to do something else. Like maybe work on transparency AA for dx10/11:3eyes:. No. The devs have to fix it. Keep using MFAA, IMHO the best thing AMD/ATI has come up with in awhile.
Adding a profile doesn't take very long and there is a vast difference between adding one and rewriting the whole driver to support that feature you want. If it allows users of the game to not wonder why all the objects are invisible instead of having to disable AA themselves before every time the game launches then why shouldn't they add it. Not everyone is bright enough to figure out the reason for the invisible objects.
they probably disabled it for noobs, after all, us computer geeks are a rare breed lol. some of the whiniest mofo's on the planet too.
one question: if i install 10.12 cap for maximum performance on two worlds 2, i lose all the benefits when i install 11.2 cap ..why? isn't caps cumulative? i've benchmarked f12010 & hawk2 , i've installed 11.2 and with the cap they go faster vs 11.1 ..but in two worlds 2 i lose same spot 25 frames..so i've removed and put older 10.12 cap and voila' same spot from 35 to 60 frames..someone can explain?
