Another broken crimson , back to 15.11.1 ...
Well, it doesn't matter. Crossfire is completely unplayable, huge portions of the gameworld aren't even rendered, stretched textures blocking the horizon, etc. I'm honestly shocked they have the nerve to release this as a supposedly legit profile while they've blocked crossfire on other games that worked fine before. It boggles the mind. :infinity:
Manual Fallout 4 AFR CFX in 15.12 was way better than this.
In the HDMI audio driver folder, there are a couple of files which are 'new'. The first is under the Windows 7 folder (packages\drivers\hdmi\W764A), and is called Tonga_Win764_15_301_BR298420_HCK26984.hckx. This is 10.1 MB. The second is under the Windows 10 folder (packages\drivers\hdmi\WT64A) and is called FijiPro_1007_Win10X64_10240DZP_15_301_HLK_26624.hlkx. This one is 7.83 MB.
Yes, the file extensions are different (hckx vs hlkx), obviously related somehow to Tonga and Fiji Pro architectures. No idea what these files are for, they aren't referenced in the .inf file. Maybe they aren't meant to be there? On the other hand, they could be some kind of audio ROM update for these two architectures which is done at time of installation.
i have crossfire 290 and Tomb Raider runs beautifully for me, at 1080p.
Vram usage does get very high - nearly 4gb. There are issues transitioning from cut-scenes to gameplay where vram usage maxes out and stutters for a short second. This is not a drive issue though.
With all settigns maxed out (very high) except for AA (using SMAA), i get an avg of 100fps. Goes as high as 140 and never below 80.
GPU usage is pegged at 100%.
Also, the game is visually stunning. Pure hair is amazing. Makes witcher 3 hairworks look like absolute trash.
installed and played ROTTR don't see any improvement. but i play @1440p tho...mostly high setting purehair on.
This is what i get from 3DMark.
5-6% lower on DX11
Also a new beta of the legacy driver
So, it's trending to release hotfix for a hotfix nowadays.Boy, oh boy! Still rolling with 15.11.1, no problems here.
Modified inf for Wrestler/Sumo cards for Windows 10 x64 is available
Yeah, we are screwed.
It's because hotfix drivers sounds better than beta driver . Since WHQL costs money to achieve they are usually only WHQL'd a few times a year now. The remaining drivers are hotfix/beta, even if they are actually properly better than the WHQL drivers. The other issue with WHQL is the time it takes to get the accreditation. We wouldn't see this driver until March if they had to wait for WHQL. I'm not sure if the charge for WHQL is per driver or per device covered in the driver, I suspect it may be the later which would cost a crapload if you were doing a dozen+ WHQL drivers a year.
Maybe it works with 1.2 that they tested it with and then v1.3 of the game broke it again?
Hmm Radeon Crimson are getting Better & Better
That's a good sign.
Keep up the great work ATI&AMD
They Need a lot of work...
I don't know about good work Onna. Well Tomb Raider upgrades were nice, especially cf profile, but that fallout 4 profile is a disaster.
Any test this driver with star wars or gta v ? any artifacts or work good?
Need to check up on how stuff works with these. Well don't have xfire so everything should be great. FO4 should be working better with AMD then Nvidia with 1.3 patch it seems.
I was afraid this was going to happen when fallout 4 moved from 1.2 -> 1.3 in terms of crossfire.
Fallout 4 1.3 -> gives me weird graphical glitches in crossfire.
Fallout 4 1.2 -> much more smooth and no graphical glitches. (I saved a snapshot of 1.2 on my server to load up in case 1.3 f-ed up my game).
Might be the new gameworks implementation etc w 1.3? Who knows.
Good job Red Team
With the 1st Hot Fix you fixed the compass in Fallout4
