OK DDU it is then .Thanks for the reply
Sometimes the AMD drivers are very stubborn and want to leave traces behind who interferes with modded drivers install.
In this case the deletion of AMD folders on C:\ and inside Program Files are needed before installing modded drivers even if DDU is used.
I'm totally shocked by the results this drivers are so f****ng good
Here is some benchmard i do with my setup
i5 4460 - locked a 3.4Ghz
Dominator gt 2x8Gb @ 1866 CL9
7970 @ 950/1425
First 3DMARK API TEST - +300kk of Drawcalls:banana:
GTA V - a small improvement
ARMA III - Famous for using a LOT of CPU
Atlis Benchmark 0.60
Maybe my old drivers are bad or something because the improvement is huge !
Would love to see comparison with mantle enabled on both.
Oculus rift dev kit 2 does not work with any of these modded Win 10 drivers sadly.
They have the CCC2 bug where it reinstalls every time. You'll need to clean the ProgramData folder for ATI entries too.
I didn't expect to see such a difference in Arma!
I played GTA V and AC Unity with the wife in the weekend, both the games were so noticably smoother that she asked me if I changed anything in the computer
my latest results on my work pc.
8GB RAM 1333MHz
DX11MT= 692 677
DX11ST= 652 844
Mantle= 9 216 267
DX11ST= 700 048
DX11MT= 677 547
Mantle= 9 579 053
So on my work pc it's a little bit better but on my home pc it's slower. Like a lot slower on mantle even and I swear i can feel it in BF4 when running mantle
These drivers are amazing for GTA V. No more stuttering at all when driving at high speeds and 60 FPS all the time. I have a problem though. CCC wont start up and i checked event viewer and found this error:

I don't know exactly what it is but i googled the issue and it returned nothing. Another error relating to CLI.exe is this one:

This one is referring to .NET Runtime. I dont know what's up with this, but MSI afterburner hasn't been working at all since I installed windwos 8.1 (fresh/clean install). I tried installing VC Redist 2008 SP1 (both x86 and x64) and both have the same error saying something like "Error 997. Overlapping I/O.". I've googled this too and it is related to a windows update, but i dont have that update installed. IDK what's up. Maybe these are all related?
Yo do these have the GTA V optimizations in them from 15.4b? Because I scored a bit lower with these in the api test than with 1018. So I'm wondering if I should use these or .23 ...
What about Witcher 3 with this drivers? It stutters more or it's just me?
These drivers seem to have better optimization than 15.4.1 B. I've been having issues with huge stuutering and framedrops when driving at high speeds in the city with 15.4, but installing these drivers fixed that and now I get 60 FPS literally all the time. No joke.
Same for the Witcher 3, Dying Light, AC Unity and even Heroes of the Storm. Much better behavior in general.
If AMD rolls out the Project CARS and Witcher 3 driver in one, I hope that they post another driver for Windows 10 after this one, with the same fixes but in this driver branch.
If the Windows 10 beta wasn't as flaky as it appears to be for everyday use, I would have already switched.
Holy fak...it's true :eek3: Just tested these 15.200.1023 in GTA5 and Witcher 3 compared to 15.4/ 15.5...no stuttering issues at all. FPS increased also...both titles.
I didn't even bother with the main branch after I run the initial benchmarks for 1018, to be honest.
@PrMinisterGR, can u share a link with latest unmoded/ untouched win 10 driver package?
no need...found it
I appear to show a FPS increase in GTA.. I've been messing with it trying to get the framerate closer to 60 fps, and in an area I would fluctuate from 45-52 frames, it was hanging around 57-60 after changing to this driver. I also find Witcher 3 runs better, especially if I add an overclock to my r9 280x (clock 1160, memory 1610).. This gets me at 60 in most outdoor places, 50-60 in some busier areas with NPC's on screen.. Hair effects if completely off. Everything is at ultra except for foliage distance, which is medium, and shadows which are at high.. AA is off (its still an FPS hit for me), and SSAO instead of HBAO+
Had Z-fighting issues with GTA V and MKX, textures all over the place with the 15.4 beta drivers. So far after installing these I haven't got any pointy texture bits all over the screen.
Is it just me or these drivers also reduced the stuttering in GTAV during driving because the game runs nice and smooth now. There is still the MSAA artifacts bug with PostFX set to 'Very High/Ultra', but it works fine with 'High', 'nevernamed' also got a fps increase. Thanks for the witcher 3 settings btw
If you are a 30 fps/graphics whore like me, you can VSR it to 1440p, disable AA from the game, enable FXAA and double vsync from RadeonPro (disable it in game), disable HairWorks, have everything on complete max except Foliage and Grass (set them on medium) and enable HBAO+.
It's at 30 and it works REALLY nice. The extra AA and the downsampling makes the game feel much better.
Let us know how the settings work for you..
I found what I mentioned affected framerate for me, and the overclock gained me a few frames. curious if the new patch affects things positively
Your settings work really well . Played the game with fraps on for about 3 minutes and made that graph. Resolution is at 1680x1050.
I agree, the game environment looks amazing :bounce:, now i'm debating to whether play the game with 30 fps but freaking amazing visuals or play it at almost smooth 60 fps but with a bit of aliasing here and there.
