AMD Catalyst 15.x Win Mod (15.200.1023.3 May 14) with VSR unlocked

no joy just causes freeze every-time I try to install them

 

I've told you that I got VSR properly working only with your driver. The official ones don't even work that well... I just needed you to include HDMI 2.0 if you would. :|

I keep getting "Video_Management_Internal" error when trying to run a game a second time.

Is there anybody else that gets that? I've gotten that with these past two drivers so far whether it's the modded one or the official one.

The only ones that I've never gotten that error was 15.4 beta and the first wdmm 2.0.

Could anybody help me solve this -- is it a faulty card?

 

You didn't use safe mode? I used safe mode... maybe that's why I keep having errors with mine?

Or the driver won't even show up. It only installs CCC. (This happend with the other modded driver not by VBR).

How did you get yours working? :|

I just registered here to say that you are doing an amazing job with your drivers ! Currently using the V2 and they are working great! Great results in GTA V and Woaw ! In BF4 it's amazing, can now play 1440p flawlessly !

The Witcher 3 is running fine but i experience some sudden and brief stuttering mostly during fights. I was waiting for AMD's 15.5 release, hoping for a good The Witcher 3 Crossfire profile.

Do you think you can incorporate it to your drivers ? Will it bring any performance increase ?

prerequisite: enable testsigning on your machine (should be enabled by default in Technical preview but you can just try to set it again and restart one time)
run cmd as administrator, then enter

"bcdedit.exe /set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS"
and
"bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON"


1. i used DDU version 15.2 to uninstall all previous driver software without going into safe mode for it.

2. then i restarted normally.

3. i went into device manager right clicked my video card
--> clicked on update driver software
--> click want to browser my computer for driver myself
--> click let me pick from a list of device drivers
--> click have disk. browse for the .INF file in the extracted modded driver folder and double click it

4. a message should pop up that the driver is not digitally signed and you click that you want to install it anyway
if this doesnt happen then you didnt enable testsigning, see above before step 1

5. during install many things happen in the background. it is NOT FINISHED when windows says "driver has been successfully installed"
so you just wait at least 2-5 minutes and do some other stuff until you restart your computer

6. after the restart you can check the CCC but you can also always check the driver version in the device manager!

As for Witcher 3 it should be possible to integrate the profile, but I had to RMA my cards and I'm still waiting for them to come back, can't test that now. Try following AMD's KB Article, I suspect disabling Temporal AA will solve a lot of performance issues with this game.

 

after some fiddling I was able to get it to behave here is the config I am running now :banana:
monitor 1: samsung S24D300H 1920x1080 Overclocked with cru/pixel clock patcher 75.55hz HDMI
monitor 2:HP W2071D 1600X900 @ 75.555HZ also with cru Running 1920x1080VSR dVI-D
15.2.1023 /w the profiles for TW3 and pcars
picked up about 8FPS across the board

Yeah, they were glitching in CF but not on single-card, so I had to send both

Thanks, I've seen it and even already mod it, but I can't in good conscience post something that I can't thoroughly test myself, so I'll sit this one out until I get my cards back.

 

If MS can have millions of users as guinea pigs for W10 developement.

Why can't you have a few for your modded drivers?

When choosing the .INF

"The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems."

When using setup.exe it will only offer me to install CCC and Codecs but no driver.

 

So far so good

Spoke too soon. It seems CCC isn't installing.

 

Did you tried right click on .inf- ....install?
