VCE doesn't work on any Windows 10 driver.

 

Having trouble with osu now, clicking stuff on the menu doesn't seem to register properly. Only just started since installing this driver. Who knows...anyway going back to 15.5.

 

Same here windows 8.1pro x64 and according to GPUz no OpenCL installed and Aidax64 says it's installed for the CPU only but I have DirectCompute 5.0 available for both

So whats the haps Asder00 why no GPGPU OpenCL in windows 8.1

GTA V is the smoothness with these drivers for me. I expect The Witcher 3 to run good too

 

If asder00 fix for MPC and VLC don't work, which was my case, for Vlc go to preferences then video then uncheck Use hardware YUV-->RGB conversions like mtrai said and for MPC go to LAV video decoder and under Hardware Acceleration - Hardware Decoder enable DXVA2(native).

mhh thats pretty strange, for me the driver messes up my gta v completely.
added stutter, 20-30 FPS loss and delayed texture popup.

i revert back to 1023.3/5 where it seems it is the most stable & performant for me. the only thing i have to do with 1023 is disable hardware accel in flash to prevent reproducable crashes in browser. rest is just fantastic.

i am really curious what those different driver branches will mean in the future.
because a driver based on 1036/1038/1040 will be hell for me.
i hope the 1023 branch will not be phased out or sth...

What clock do you run your CPU at? Because with setting I use for playing W3 I get 40-48fps in open terrain (while GPU runs 99% load).

And then for test I changed resolution to 640x400. (GPU load 40~50%) fps 52-54 as I become limited by something what runs on CPU even with 4.5GHz. Probably part of Gameworks which is accelerated on GPU for nVidia.

Freesync Crossfire is working? I have the G-Sync Pendulum demo installed (yeah I know) but it's actually good to check if there is tearing. I can enable freesync with crossfire enabled and there is no tearing in the demo on 50-60 fps?? Am I missing something here ?

 

Finally. DX12 functionality is back with these drivers.

 

Which windows are you running on?. I only get 5% upgrade between 1023.5 and 1040.0 on Windows 7.

Just a quick note..not sure if it is these drivers or not. I just ran an extreme firestirke test to compare to the r9 390 on the front page and posted my results. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=399972

Since my GPU is beating it in the graphics scores and FPS at clock for clock..I can only assume it is a driver issue? Powercolor R9 290 Turbo Duo for my test run. Yes my physics scores are bad since I use an FX 8120..I really need to get me an intel haha.

 

I have BenQ XL2730Z & 2x 290 Tri-X's.

No idea how to confirm if it's on, but at least that pendulum has no tearing compared to constantly image splitting 15.5 beta, the pendulum has now some ghosting though.
Also if I go under 47-47fps, I'm getting flickering like the CrossFire tends to cause at all new game launches, even so I'm not getting any flicker at higher frames where the FreeSync supposedly turns off?

EDIT: Never mind, it's definitely working because I just turned the FreeSync off from the driver and the pendulum is again tearing, and the screen doesn't flicker when going under 47fps.
