Looks like Amd hired some guys to do better drivers,
Since 14.12 Omega they do better and better drivers.
    Keep it up Amd.
    Thanks asder00. :)

Good. They've broken DXVA since previous drivers. Gone back to an older driver.

    180,000+ more DX11 ST calls
    120,000+ more DX11 MT calls
    1,000,000+ more Mantle calls
250+ pts in firestrike gfx score

No OpenCL but all MadVR/MPC videos perform normally.
Gotta say, lots to like about this driver so far!

EDIT: When I say "more" I mean more than any of the other modded drivers.

DXVA also works fine for me in Win 10 TP 10135 build with these drivers in VLC.

Well MPC-HC is broken here (even with QS) so something isn't working right compared to previous drivers (8.1)

    DXVA / VIDEO PLAYER FIX

Extract the dlls in the directory where your video player exe resides. (example: C:\Program Files\MPC-HC - C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC)

Yeah works for me too with mpc-hc x64, but vlc x86 does not.
So the x86 video component is broken, using the fix i provided will make it work.

I use 32-bit PotPlayer without any issues. DXVA works fine.

Maybe only 32-bit MPC-HC is affected.

    Yeah. Really incredible, right? :D
    Sorry about that. Typo.

EDIT: Thanks for that fix asder. Under closer inspection I was getting nill GPU usage before with 32bit MPC, now things are right as rain. Thanks again.

Another thing to note with these drivers...for me at least with this GPU I am using Powercolor R9 290 Turboduo. I was able to lower my voltage a tad for a stable overclock of 1100/1500 (base 975/1250) Was using the latest Win 10 TP WDDM 2.0 drivers yesterday....YMMV

    @asder00,

FYI : This driver is still broken on GCN 1.0 cards...

Runs great for around 3 - 5 minutes, then CTD with unresponsive driver error regardless of application...

Overclocks great on my r7870 Twin Frozr III & performance in W3 & GTAV is very much improved over 15.5 cat (was great already on 15.5 cat) so real shame that this is still bugged for GCN 1.0 (did AMD bite off more than they can chew regarding GCN 1.0 & compatibility? Only time will tell I guess). :3eyes: :bang:

BTW : system OS is win10 tp 10130...

I already ask the same thing for testing on Win 10, however I did install these and they work fabulous.

But I do want to try the unmodified on win 10 too.
