You're probably using the W8.1 version. I did that by mistake last night.. then found the w10 version of 15.7 and it installed properly.

I managed to install it but GTA5 still crashes. Must be some kind of incompatibility with Windows 10 or AMD just doesn't work with this game :(

GTA V works fine here with Windows 10 and 15.7.1.

I don't get it. It's brand new, windows installation is also just a few weeks old, the game runs fine (slow at times due to my cpu) but one hour is the most I can play before crashing :\

Only the game crashes, or does it take the computer with it? Also, if it is cracked, that's a problem with the crack.

I also have a 290X and I don't suffer from the same issue (Windows 10 here).
And, by the sound of it, it may be your card on the process of dying; I hope not, though.

it isn't.. i switched back to 15.7 and everything is running rock solid.. but my computer crashed every day from 15.7.1. i installed it a couple of times too.. but reverting back has resolved every issue.

The 2 hotfixes doesn't affect performance. It should still perform the same. I will update aswell just in case they fixed something. i have 1 or 2 issues but nothing related to the hotfixes

R9 380 is GCN 1.2 card and should support 12_0 feature level, reason it is not is because of driver is not supporting it
I looks that right now all GCN cards working only on 11_1 feature level
No big deal as 11_1 is enough to get all important DX12 improvements.

Probably in future drivers AMD add 12_0 feature level support for GCN 1.1 and 1.2 cards.

The creators of the Ashes of Singularity are waiting for AMD to release dx12 drivers or something like that. AMD did it again... :wanker:

I don't believe that Ashes of the Singularity is running at Feature_Level 12_0 (nor that any sane game will, at least for a couple of years). If you want to see your card running DX12 code, you can run the 3DMark API test, or the recompiled Elemental UE4 demo. The latter runs like ****e, because it's simply recompiled, and nobody actually ported it. Still, it is impressive to see how easy it can be to do something like that, especially with an engine that does not support DX12 on its official release yet.

UE4 demo ran like c*** in dx12. I'm only interested in this Multi-Threaded Command Buffer Recording thing in dx12, and nothing else. As I understand AOTS will use it.
