AMD Catalyst 15.6 Beta Driver for Windows OS out now

This thread needs a mod cleanup ASAP...

 

Since others can't behave then it's ok to do so, strange reasoning (not so strange nowadays).

And it was not a threat since: (1) you didn't not insult me three times, (2) we actually are on a forum so, as stated, I couldn't do anything.

Anyway I think a moderator will come and kick us both very soon, and he would be right we are a bit OT I guess!

 

Now until all the gamers unite to put an end to this ****ty port madness for PC all the time and using this ****works to cripple performance on different gpus, till then nothing is gonna change, we are gonna see ****ty ports until we boycott games that support this type of ****ty tech i.e ****works... that has no use but to cripple performance, if the game is only designed for 4 gpus in the world then why sell it to other gpu owners.. so we all need to unite and put and end to this madness, and get our steam refunds, and complain to rocksteady that we did this because u didnt work on PC version and included stuff thats crippling performance such as ****works and denuvo..

 

Anything on performance vs the win10 or other drivers?
All I see is pages about Nvidia, gameworks and how ****ty AMD is.

 

because AMD want's us to think that the 300 series cards are brand new cards and not r9 270, 285, 290 and 290x under a different name, which they are.

 

This brings nothing new, if you are using the 1040 driver stay on that.
And if you play batman use the dll's of this driver to see if it makes any difference but i don't think so.

 

Black monitor screen bug is AGAIN back. It does not detect and resume on any movement, while in sleepmode/standby.

And I think it was a couple of builds earlier also the same case.

 

watch them release r9 200 series with the "current" 15.6 drivers vs the new branch drivers benchmarks for the 300 series.

 

Has anyone who has not been able to VSR on VGA monitor input, been able to "dirty install" the 15.6s on top of the 15.3.1s?

I remember reading someone here had the VSR feature carry over to 15.5s, who I think like me, has not had VSR work via standard driver installs or via the VSR enabler tool.

 

with the correct .dll's and the correct crossfire setting i got to run CF in almost 95% of the games other people always complain about having problems with.

so. i dont get all the commotion.

of course AMD is lazy when it comes to providing a driver who has multiple DLLs for different games and who automatically detects the best settings for crossfire.

but you can get almost ANY game to run smooth enough with CF as long as you have time to try out different pre-defined profiles / CCC settings / radeonpro settings / ati****.dlls

 

So what are your settings then?

 

You can't voice it here. Guru3d has to keep both sides happy with their site in order to be able to get review hardware, etc. This is a tyranny. Voice your opinion on the official forums.

 

Has performance improved at all in Witcher 3 with these?

 

Can confirm the sleep bug (was never fixed afaik, even on the driver where it was said it was fixed). Just had it happen about 5 minutes ago.

This was back in 2014, this should have been fixed, indeed. If you Google it, AMD suffers for years to fix this damn thing.

 

It was never fixed. I just set the computer to sleep in a shorter period of time, monitor is always on.

 

if you are exclusively playing witcher 3 the best ones for me were the 1040, but those have dvxa issues, so use the r300 drivers which are also pretty good, better than these imho.

 

Is it so hard to have a single unified driver that contains only improvements and not one fix here and several regressions elsewhere?

 

Also have this bug. I'm glad I have a Sleep button on my keyboard. When I use it to put the PC to sleep, and wake it up straight away. The monitor also works. So for me this just takes away 20 seconds, glad I don't have to restart the pc

 

lol? they are very different from game to game!

for example so many people said they have problems with CF in wolfenstein old blood.

if you disable AA in game
chose "OGLEnableAFR" profile in CC
enable AA in CC -> 16xEQ (for example)
set AA method -> Supersampling

and MOST IMPORTANTLY use OpenGL .dll from 15.5 driver in our "DLL repository thread sticky)

then it works smooth as ****.

thats only one example. i wont write down all of my games' settings...


you just have to invest some time in finding the best settings for each game. then you will be happy.
and since you want to play a game like 20hours or so. 20 minutes of good setup is not really asked too much for. or someone who did setup it already and posts his experience online.

and again. it's not the same settings for each game of course.
each game needs different stuff to run perfect on CF.

there is literally no game that i own that doesnt run without problems on CF.
