From 50 fps in single to 75 fps in CFX.

So 50% scaling using 2 GPU.

A poor scaling with bad frametime and following stuttering.

Well we can wait for "next week" drivers to fix this, i mean 300 series driver in june.

The scaling for my secondary rig was pretty bad. Tri fire 7970 ghz. Each gpu was at 30 percent usage....so yeah. Its pretty much broken on that. Also tons of texture flicker.

30% GPU usage in tri fire?

This is negative scaling so it's broken as you said at least in trifire. :(

I'm actually getting 90/90 scaling now in crossfire. Usually between 50-60fps with some stuttering (Fairly bad at times). Guess I'll mess around with vsync and frame limiting and hope that helps.

Hey guys, I been reading these forums for a while now but never made an account, till now!

Anyways, to those complaining about the shutter, it is a game issue (engine issue). It isn't a driver issue. The shutter is happening on both AMD and Nvidia cards and usually happens when you hit a certain frame rate (70ish to 90ish).

This also applies to GPU usage. The game (or engine) only commands so much and hence why you are getting low GPU usage.

My 7990 + 7970 gets 49% usage across all GPUs. Best case, 62%. I end up with a 70fps average at 1440p (Gameworks OFF) And Nothing better. The usage rating will of course increase if you are using just 1 GPU OR you are gaming at a higher resolution.

That same workload is spread out depending on the number of GPUs in your system. So don't blame AMD for this one guys :p. I was, but I did some research.

Now the flickering, that is a different story.

So far so good. No flickering in CF. I did disabled "EnableTemporalAA" in the rendering.ini file according to this link and DID NOT turn off AA in game. All settings to ultra except hariworks off, Shadows & veg distance to high. Postprocessing all on except blur, Vignetting off & Ambient Occlusion to SSAO.

Steady 55-60 fps (vsync=on) at 3840x2160 (4k). Was getting same fps with the same settings using a single card at 2560x1440. Think I'm happy, at least for now...

    HORRIBLE f flickering with crossfire
Tessellation x8, temporal AA off, AA off, sharpening off
    HORRIBLE flicker

    Are you f serious AMD?
They did say though to disable crossfire to fix it.
Every f game like that now.
"oh crossfire kind of works, but if it doesn't, Just Disable It®"

Stupid gullible me actually believed that this driver will work with latest patch.
    Goddamn I am angry.
    :bang::bang::bang:

    Oh and hair is f-ed.
His stupid ponytail is all over the place and it flickers to hell and back.

"Have a 295x2? Don't worry about crossfire! If a game has issues with it, just disable it and you basically have a 290x! For Free!"

    Right?
I am so upset. I waited and waited and AGAIN this ****.
    What the actual hell AMD?...

Sorry for the rant everyone. It's just been a crazy year none of the AAA titles work with crossfire anymore.
I expect it not to work at launch (AMD trained me like Pavlov trained his dogs at this point) but this is getting ridiculous.
And they have the gall to advise to 'Just Disable It®'

Deeply regret getting a 295x2 last month. Driver support is absolutely horrible...
I have always been on the green side and decided to give the red a try and well, I've learnt my lesson.

Witcher 3 is flickering all over with CFX, although I am getting good fps now, but the flicker kills it.

Hate it when companies spent big bucks on market/PR instead of actually making something worthwhile.

If anyone is planning on getting an AMD card, don't.

It's basically like they've just enabled 1x1 for the game. They both perform the same to me with flicker. We could have done that ourselves! :)#
Does anyone want to buy one of my 7950's? :D

Yeah, the flickering is horrible. AMD needs to get its act together. I'm seriously considering selling my cards and buying a 980ti.

How come we get bad flickering and you don't?
We need to find out what's different in your setup.
As there are far more 290/x CFX users that have flickering and your the only one that doesn't have it.

I'm very curious myself. I turned off temporal AA, normal AA and sharpening.
Played around with every possible settings in both game and CCC.
    Flickering is maddening.
