Yeah better use SMAA than ingame AA.Worth better performance.
Agree as much as I hate the current status of AMD's driver, WHQL is not important.
Stability, overclockability support and optimized performance is more important then anything else.
The next official driver release is the Catalyst 15.30 *with* WHQL. It will differ from the modified Windows 10 drivers and add support for OpenGL 4.5.
Will the R9 290x will gets tessellation improve for next release of drivers?
Someone has "hacked" the 15.15 drivers to run it on 290x as it also received tessellation improvements.
Or 290x owners would be left out in the dark and be encourage to buy R9 390x?
I hope 290x users are not getting gimped drivers.
When 15.30 are out, we can compare the tesselation performance of 15.15 with 15.30.
If they have indeed cut it down (which I doubt), there will be the biggest ****storm this side of the forum has ever seen.
I was just curious since I noticed it. And that makes sense, though I really was under the impression even at 4k we are not currently maxing out pcie 2.0
Quite a few of the unmodded w10 drivers are wqhl... but does it really matter? Drivers are **** period.
