wasnt aware there was a legacy driver for win10.
What about installing the Windows 8.1 driver?
i wasnt aware there was an 8.1 legacy driver either.
8.1 legacy driver doesn't work on Win 10.
There isn't, only for Windows 8.0
I just upgraded my Acer Aspire 8935G (Intel HD + ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670) from Win7 x64 to Win10. I found out I have display driver issues:
Win10 uses the Intel card, games run awfully
at boot, it ends in a black screen; I have to trigger a suspend/resume cycle (or two) to get to desktop
I found this driver package: will it solve my problems? Is this the correct latest one or v15.7 is newer?
Any other suggestion?
Thank you VERY much!
So, I was just wondering...
Did anyone see an improvment in performance using this driver under windows build 10525?
I got a slight improvment on the new build, maybe because the new build manages memory diferentlly.
I know I was joking.
Interesting sense of humour.
Thanks man but i'd already tried your mod a few days ago with no success, i modded the original Hawai.cmd with my registry device BestViewOption_Hdmi plus BestViewOption to all nodes and no VSR setting CCC and no extra resolutions to select, plus the values revert back to stock after each reboot.
I use HDMI.
REG ADD %%A\Option /v BestViewOption_Hdmi /t REG_BINARY /d %BestViewOptionValue% /f
AMD no longer officially support anything older than HD 5xxx series in their monthly and beta drivers.
Those older cards are now only supported by legacy driver sets that AMD rarely release these days.
It was already once every 3 months since the legacy support program started back then; seems like it'll be even longer now.
Otherwise you can only rely on Windows Update for driver updates.
This a leaked driver.
Official version is still at 15.7.1.
You can try manually invoking Win10 to update the AMD driver via Device Manager.
Or just revert back to Win7 x64 if possible.
Win10 support on switchable graphics usually relies on your laptop manufacturer.
If they don't release a Win10 driver package or you can't manually update via Device Manager, then you're SOL.
there is now a legacy driver for 10. new thread started.
I tried on Win10 and it seems nothing installed...
I'll now try the WU driver first.
I now have a driver in WU.. Whats the consensus on this one? Should I use it, or stick with 15.7
All I can say is give it a try if they don't work perhaps going back to Windows 7 is your best bet for a functioning GPU
AMD Display Driver 15.201WHQL for Win7 64, Win8.1 64, Win10 64
Ok Dude, Who the **** do you work for ??? :3eyes: (great find btw )
I installed your freaking driver, rebooted & my MSI twin Frozr III R7870 tried to leg it out the side of my machine :gape:
I don't know what is different about this driver over the OP's driver other than the WHQL attached to the 'ASUS' version, but one thing is for sure... This driver kicks the OP's release & all previous releases, regardless of source, squarely in the gonads :giggle2: (No disrespect intended @asder00)...
DX12 overhead test shows improvements in dx11 ST test scores of over 90k minimum, dx11 MT improvement scores over 150k (3 runs for all tests)...
Mantle has improved by over 1.3 mil...
DX12 has improved by over 1.1 mil...
For me, this is easily the best driver released by AMD for many years for my card...
I can say now with some certainty "Nvidia fanboys, you will soon be kissing :moon: :moon: :moon: as we cruze on by !!! " :flip:
You know the saying... Good things come, to those that wait...
So does it work for windows 7 and non nano cards?
CCC doesn't start with these drivers for me.
Sapphire R9 290 and Windows 10 x64 (10240).
Asder00's driver set works just fine.
