Just did a Windows Update search for updates on my AMD E-350 APU notebook and am now getting this. Thanks for the notice!

Somebody should try to pack these for Windows 7/8.1. There is a ton of legacy cards that could benefit apparently.

DXVA doesn't work for me. This is unbelievable since it's WHQL driver from Windows Update. Can someone confirm DXVA not working?

Just clicked "check for updates" for Windows Update and Microsoft decided to go ahead and download and install these drivers for me by itself. Even though I have specifically told Windows not to install drivers for devices.

Anyway, my API Overhead results dropped significantly for DX11 after the update from .1002 to .1004

    EDIT:

    Here are the compare results:

I also got the update 'out of the blue'. I think it was because in CCC under the Information|Software Update tab I checked to install updates.

I don't think it was from Windows Update. Also, if you look at the AMD folder on your C: drive it is not the full blown AMD package. It looks like an update.

The list of supported cards in an early post are they in addition to non-legacy card like mine?

Just had the update installed through Windows Update. Thanks Microsoft. Overhead test didn't show much difference from 1046.2, what I had before the update.
QuickSync and DXVA video playback works as it should. VSR too.

^ same here, WU decided it was update time. Have yet to test if everything works...

Are you sure it cam from WU? Do you see it when you look at your recent WU updates? As I said above I think the update came from AMD. If WU has the update listed for you than I stand corrected. My WU list doesn't have it.

I check for updates manually. When I checked for update it downloaded the driver and Windows defender update.

Restarted the computer twice, ran a game or two, then went back to do the API Overhead tests and now the results are back to normal. So sorry about earlier, but it doesn't look like these drivers decreased performance when it comes to API Overhead...

    http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8286475?

    Weird :3eyes:

    EDIT:

Just for comparisons sake... here are now the results for before this update and after this update (everything within the margin of error).

GTA 5 very smooth. Absolutely no frametime fluctuations driving like a lunatic. Seems good so far.

Well I'd like to get notified when something decides to update the video driver... I mean all went black, both monitors while I was browsing something an I was "what the heck?" and all came back on, all programs stacked on primary monitor, few had their fonts completely crapped and had to restart them...

The DXVA Decoding is working for me.
    I did clean DDU uninstall
and download this drivers directly from Windows Update.
So far so good, no problems at all.

Most of the newer drivers have legacy cards on the *.inf (even the official 15.7.1), but they don't actually work. The latest working driver on my HD4890 pushed by W10's WU is based on the 12.5b branch as every previous legacy driver.

EDIT: Just tested, and it's the same as other 15.200.x driver on a HD4890. It installs fine, displaying Radeon HD 4800 Series and correct driver version, but they can't even detect my monitor's native resolution, acting like the Basic Display Driver. On Device Manger, if I look for details, no driver files are loaded.
Also, GPU Caps Viewer detects GPU1 as, guess what, Microsoft Basic Display Driver.

I have a Mobility HD 4670 and it is listed in Win10 Device Manger, how can I be sure it is used and correctly working? It shows driver version 15.200...

I've tried this driver two times. DDU then manual install, 2nd time auto-install via Windows Updates. PotPlayer showed only black screen, flash videos in Firefox were all green. I can't keep drivers which doesn't support DXVA properly. I came back to 15.6 beta for Windows 8.1 x64 and everything works again.
