I can report serious performance improvements using these drivers while playing Assassin's Creed Unity. It feels like a totally different game.

Can you report on your CPU usage? Any other CPU heavy games you play? Compared to which driver?

Well sometimes they do make damn good drivers. You'll never know. Besides if not we have modding to add things if anything.

CPU usage looked the same to me, truth be told. Omega introduced a bit of stuttering feeling, which is not present in 15.3. However, 15.2 just flies compared to 15.3, even at a resolution of 2560x1440 the difference can be felt. For anyone with a HD 7950/7970 aka R9 280/280X that's looking to play Assassin's Creed Unity, this is the driver. Though I can report reduced performance in Watch_Dogs.

Our modding can't really add anything. It simply changes/enables things that are already there. I doubt that any OEM has access to driver source code, although you never know.

Any chance you might check something like Rome 2, or StarCraft 2?

I have this problem with every driver with my monitor. Its HDMI and VGA only. I have no scaling options if I am using RGB 4:4:4. I have to scale it first, select PC mode on monitor, then I can go from ycbcr 4:4:4 to RGB 4:4:4 and scale desktop correctly. Otherwise it will revert back to ycbcr if I dont. And it looks like complete ass in ycbcr

    Thanks! :)

Did you have success with modded drivers?

Do you get the 4K VSR in your 290?

Unfortunately, no. I don't own any of the games you mentioned. But I can do some 3DMark 11 and Unigine Valley comparisons. This driver does make a significant difference while playing at ACU at 1080p compared to 15.3 and the same trend follows at 1440p too.

How much fps improvment did you notice over 15.3?

To be honest, I was more interested on frame latencies (the "smoothness" feeling). Sometimes absolute fps numbers mean nothing. I take buttery smooth 30 over jaggy 45fps any day.

It would be nice to see how the drivers fare with titles that require a lot from the CPU.

The improvements aren't necessarily in frames per second, but are likely in improved frametimes, as the game feels much smoother and far more responsive. A storm ripped out all the cables in my area including the ones that provide electricity, it'll be awhile before I can provide statistical data.

Great performing driver in general, tho the FPS limiter is working to my limit of 60fps, removes about 20fps for the couple games i tested in performance so not really usable on something like Dying Light or Arma 3, needs more work.

Desktop now displays the VSR properly compared to 15.3 but can't see the new res's in games tho suspect that's my 1080p capture card pass thru HDMI.

What do i need to do with reg to make it show in more games the res? I need reg values for displayport. I really want to fix this.

If you can't select the same resolution you have avalaible for desktop in the graphic options of a game this is not a driver or registry problem.

It's the game who doesn't support this resolution.

A specific mod must be made for this specific game situation like Durante did with first darksouls or Deadly Premonition.
