Instability? Never had instability using RadeonPro. Even Windows itself enabled v-sync/triple buffering to windowed windows by default. It's just laziness.

The worst thing it can happen is that they won't get enabled. NVIDIA has them incorporated for more than a year. The CCC vsync controls are even MORE useless than their AA controls (and I didn't even think that was possible).

The frame limiter they introduce is a "hack", since it literally slows down the rendering engine of a game. By the way, does anybody have it work with the modded 15.15?

I don't know that it is. AMD users have been clamouring for RadeonPro features in CCC for a long time, and AMD are aware. It's no coincidence they hired RP's developer. I think there's a legitimate reason why the features aren't there and the explanation they gave is probably a simplification.

The RP dev was recruited for Raptr not CCC.

AMD didn't hire John, Raptr did :bang:

There is no legitimate reason at all. If a single guy can do it twice (once done by Unwinder, once by Matauri), there is no excuse. NVIDIA is doing it with their driver. The frame limiter is a greater "hack" than this, and yet they do it. I'll tell you what the story is. Some idiot in there has decided that the features are not "worth the effort" since a "relative minority is using those features".

A lot of it is money/time/laziness. CCC needs a complete overhaul.

Sorry about little OT Answer to Prefix: r9 270 CFX isn't that bad you might think. By the time asus r9 280 was 200€, asus r9 270 150€, r9 290(x?, can't remember correctly) was if I recall about 400€. My CF is better than single r9 280, maybe not as good buck-for-performance but still. And remember my psu was for one r9 270, but calculation did pay of and I can run CF without any problem, and overvolted cards. [I know too much power draw may shorten my PSU:s lifespan, but new PSU I can manage financially. And I have some custom fans to handle the crossfire overvoltage heat, yet it's not advisable]. Here's some clue about performance: [can't post link, too inexperient, google: ocaholic r9 270 crossfire vs r9 290 benchmark]

Just wanted to little defend my system. And I really don't care if say fans, they have to be quite loud with bios mod, would broke. I could then dream about better single card. But I believe my beginners luck will turn out quite beneficial after directx12 vram stacking and I could live even maybe a year without upgrade and then buy a better card with better knowledge- maybe the whole system.

mtdew332's post is good news. Looks like we're finally about to get 15.20 (15.200.x.x series) officially released :)

    Welcome to the forums :)

They seem to be getting good reports, quite a boost on the 2s by all accounts (i think its these drivers anyway), might give em a try, can always go back to previous if they are no good i suppose. :p

The guy who done Radeon pro now works for AMD, doing that Raptr, not sure if its got the same stuff in as Radeon pro though, as ive never used it, but i can't see why they couldn't implement some of the features from it into the CCC, would be good if they could :)

Looks like i'll be giving them a miss afterall, as i can't unpack them, just errors out - uncompressed format method used or something. :p

How many times is AMD re-launching the SAME incomplete downsampling solution called VSR?

Is there any difference between this and the previous 14.12 VSR launch?

Edit: My grammar is still on par with AMD drivers quality, so i needed to fix some errors... :D
