This driver is the best BF4 experience I have ever had. It's incredibly smooth now even on maps where the GPU gets low load (Parcel storm, Hainan resort, ETC).

I'm getting RSODs with these in BF4 running mantle on an r9 290. Otherwise they've been amazing so far.

Funny. My CPU is worse but I see better frames than you are on average. My minimum is a bit weaker tho.

Amazing, not only has AMD not released a WHQL driver in 5 months, Nvidia managed to release 3 WHQL's -AND- two video cards!

As much as I hate to agree, I have to. Not releasing a driver for 5 months is a little well... pathetic.

But it could mean they have a very nice driver in the works (much like Nvidia recent massive performance driver they had) or they are very hard at work on something very new (aka volcanic islands gpu r9 390X) maybe we will find out on the 25th... ;)

Otherwise your most is pretty much a troll, a true troll nonetheless :p

Just see it as I call it, and I've owned my last 4 gens as AMD.

But lets face facts, this is indeed pathetic, it took them till this LEAKED beta to fix the DX9 corruption with all beta's past 14.4.

*EDIT* Let me clarify, all this tells me after months and months of silence out of AMD except any info that manages to leak to us with them talking to investors etc shows that:

1 - AMD is desperate to raise capital
2 - Company is in financial trouble
3 - Lights are on but nobody is home, this is like if a car company said they "We're not closed" but you were not seeing any new cars being released, but the phone number still works, but it connects you to an answering machine
4 - Pick another video card brand this gen to avoid AMD's terrible driver support these 8+ months

    ummm

14.8 WHQL was a lot less than 5 month ago (8/29/14 to be precise, less than a month ago)

Ive had zero issues with drivers, and so have a lot of other people.

    Hyperbole is hyperbole.

Agreed there drivers/support over the 9-10 months (post 13.12) has been pretty pathetic :puke2:

I really wonder if they will bother adding official DS support (now Nv have forced there hand) or if there will even react with any performance drivers to counter the 970/980 release (they didn't bother trying when NV matched there mantle numbers by improving DX overheads a few months back)

i have my doubts we'll see anything because i think if they had something up there sleeves and ready to go they'd have dropped it already to piss on NV's 970/980 release party..........

hi, i just purchased a 295x2 and installed it with this driver. and i can't find crossfire option in CCC, and hardware info section show the second adapter is disabled. is this normal?

    The giant square character shadow?!

This happens with every selected Warframe. Went back to 14.4 since 14.8 whql causes BF4 to crash after tabing out. (Might be an issue with this damned browser plugin EA uses.)

But they are not on the AMD official site :puke2:

No OFFICIAL whql drivers (only for 285) for 5+ months is ''little'' weird.. And all betas from 14.5 to latest have problems with some dx9 games.

But I will not switch to ''green'' side just yet, cuz I need more than 2gb vram, and nVidia's GPU with more than 2gb are too expensive for me..

For some reason with this or with the whql one, none of the AA override/enhance options work on D3 or BF4.

Try to uninstall with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller):

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379505

After that try to reinstall this driver again or install the latest WHQL to see if that helps anything:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=392402

    AMD Catalyst 14.8 WHQL (14.201.1008 August 12)

    - - - - - - -

If that doesn't help, then try the most stable driver that most of the users use when having problems with the newer drivers:

    AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL (14.100.0.0 April 17)

Esp needs to get his eyes checked ^.^
Ah, I thought maybe it could be frame specific. Also, you didn't meantion the graphics settings you were using?

I use maxed out settings. No overwritten settings in CCC. I tried every setting though but as long as character shadows are enabled it looks like this.

There is only GURU3D 14.8 WHQL. And that's not even AMD official Beta, let alone WHQL.

14.8 working OK here, but what does that do for him?

"zero issues" sounds to me like you're a desktop dweller :)

Also, here's an update on next Beta/WHQL
