Freshly installed Windows 8.1 just to install this new driver, at the end of installing 14.9.2 it crashes the Realtek Audio driver. This is a serious bug in my opinion.

Still lags with BF4 and Mantle at 1440P. :-( Again rolling back to 14.7RC3.

Works ok here, although the scaling is not great at points

Stuttering 64-bit OpenGL/Java performance is still not fixed for the 7870 and R9 270X line of cards.

Ex.: Minecraft, Starsector. More detail on the issue HERE.

Same here, fliquering menus are gone and Cfx scaling is quite better, still not perfect at points. Also Watch Dogs Cfx seems to work a little bit better thus not at it should yet.

So lets wait and see what the do on next releases.

What sort of scaling are we talking? Mine is in the region of 50%, down to 10% when it rains. The tomb raider crossfire profile still seems to give much better scaling (~90%), with all the effects, but with all the flickering.

cfx scaling is pretty bad for me on SoM, menu flickering is gone but ingame flickering (whole screen) increased. Performance isn`t great either... but that my be caused by my resolution (3440x1440). but no crashes here

Just right click the name of the game in your Library. There should be an option "Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth (AMD Mantle)".

Im on 90% with drops to 60%. But mostly on 90% region. It's quite better than the previous drivers and playable for me.

Mantle is for any situation which you are CPU limited. So situations with weak CPU's and situations where your GPU power is much stronger than your CPU (i.e running SLI/CFX). In this case I am running 3 GPU's, so that is exactly one of the situations Mantle was made for and it is also why Mantle is showing roughly a 10% gain....

    Update:
Play Ryse Son of Rome, Alien:Isolation, Sid Meir Civilization:Beyond Earth and WarThunder. So far so good. No stuttering and the graphic is smooth. However BF4, still the same.

Tested and can confirm Mantle runs fine on my 7970. I think you have some other issue needs resolved. Picture link below using one card, all ultra cept no MSAA, 2560x1080 monitor with these 14.9.2 beta drivers. Some minor variance up and down on perfor graph during explosions/heavy stuff etc, generally green and yellow are stuck close together all the time - definitely no cpu spikes (cept when I take screen shots!).

In fact, my crossfire gives good performance too except I get memory leaks when it is enabled. Wish that could be fixed. Have been running DX crossfire since July 8th BF4 patch.

Anyways sidspacewalker, are you sure 'origin in game' is disabled? Do you delete the 2 x MantlePipelinecache files found in your Documents/ Battlefield 4/cache folder after every Catalyst update? Got to be something not right.

Thanks, glad I am not the only one with this. It's weird because the 290 should be fully supported by these

I realize that some conversations are hard to follow but we were talking about M cards (mobile) ie mobility 5xxx. AMDs market share during the era of 5xxx and 6xxxm cards was in the majority. Considering a huge chunk of AMDs cards is mobility (not including console GPUs / APUs) it would be a great shame if AMD dropped support since they only recently with 14.8 started giving us better support.

    And yes specs are gone.
