What OS are you running? all of my encounters with CCC not opening have been .Net framework issues assuming that the drivers have installed correctly

try repairing .Net you can download a useful tool for that here,

The only issue I can think of at the top of my head is the corrupted cursor bug; but as for recently, I guess I can't really name a case where someone reported a fixed issue as being fixed. To be fair though, it could also be because people no longer experiencing the issue might not care to report it (people are more likely to report a bad experience over a good one). Might be able to find a person or two if I dig though some threads, but there isn't anything notable that I recall.

I don't recall anyone mentioning anything with any of the 14.7 RC3, RC1, or 14.6 RC1 featured highlights (doesn't necessarily mean no one has mentioned anything though; would have to go looking). Can anyone confirm the AOC U2868PQU display timing issue fixed? Does anyone with a R9 290X confirm 11% increased performance with PvZ? Does Wildstar really have a PX profile now that works? At first glance, I assume these highlights hold true since nobody (that I've seen) bothered stating otherwise.

Most of the issues I see being reported are temperature increases, black screens, and BSoD. Some report DX9 texture corruption (which I have yet to see, but I might just not play the games it happens in) but afaik, AMD hasn't claimed to have fixed it, or mark it as a known issue.

The only outstanding issue I can think of is the screen wake issue, but I'm not sure if I've even seen that as a known issue on AMD's changelog. It's not really a consistent issue either (some have it, others don't, the ones that do experience it consistently while others have it randomly). I'm not even certain where to begin with finding the cause for this.

And some other issues reported seem to be Mantle and BF4 acting poorly (which I'm betting is the game itself and not AMD; Star Swarm and Thief were fine for me), and browsers causing BSoD (I've only seen it happen with some 14.x driver a good while back). Some relatively outstanding bug I haven't heard of for a good while was Firefox corruption, but seeing as I don't recall any changelog from AMD claiming to have fixed it, I assume one of the following happened:

    - Mozilla fixed the issue on their own end
    - Nobody uses Firefox anymore
    - The people experiencing the issue either turned off HW acceleration, and/or stopped caring

I think I also recall someone (might have been you but not entirely certain) reporting issues with Eyefinity back when that Eyefinity-changing driver first surfaced, but I recall Eyefinity being fine for me when I tried it.

I got these also with the 14.7 RC3 after a game of BF3. Just red screened, but I have no OC. Just installed these and will see if it happens again. It only happened once so I'm really not sure what would have caused it.

The heat probleme is still here but my cf scaling is better on bf4 watchdogs metro crysis3 , so i can accept a bump in temps ( nothing to worry about 5-6c rise ) for a good bump in performance :p
and no red screen so far :)

Firefox corruption is fixed by disabling direct2d and Azure from about:config, Ive had that disabled since it started with the whole checker-box bugs

Eyefinity is still very broken, just took a lot longer to break this time

And to put my point across, it broke just after these drivers completely crashed my entire machine, exactly the same as 14.6, 14.7 and now 14.8

Nothing has been fixed, I've lost count of the number of reports Ive sent to them about the same bugs and not one of them has been even slightly looked at

Temp increases, crashing entire systems, bsods, eyefinity is broken to hell, even the installer says "Completed but with errors"

14.4 were the last and only working drivers for me and many others, and 13.12 were the last and only working drivers for quite a few more people too

Only a handful can use any drivers higher without problems

I downclocked to 4.5ghz and no more red screens after 2h of gameplay. I never though it was a unstable CPU, lol.

Funny drivers. Seems to work, the only issue I found with these, compared to 14.7RC3 was that EU4 loads with black screen and "not responding", so no welcome screens or what it is doing, just black screen with music, but once it loads stuff is there :)

Do any of you do fresh installs of Windows when moving to a new driver?

I just did this and have received no problems so far.. I've only spent a few hours playing Space Engineers though

    sticking with 14.7 RC3

Only saw the same horrible performance with this driver. When the 14.7 RC3 driver came out was a nice change for once I had smooth frame times ie smooth game play. I have 3x6970's and lately the drivers haven't been to hot this 14.8 has the stutter that all the other 14... series ,except 14.7 RC3, has had. Maybe fine for apu's as the install folder denotes not for my trifire x79 setup

I tried ddu but i didnt acces ccc panel even 14.4. Then tried amd unistall tool. Than installed 14.8, eventually i can access ccc panel. It was not about .net framework. 13.0.0.3 version bugged i think. at leats it does not work for me properly.

So I had some free time to try to reproduce some of the issues people are having.

    First rig on sig.
Second rig: 2500k (stock) with 7970 cfx
    Third rig: 920 @4.2ghz with 5870

All of them running Win 8.1 and no third party installers (DDU, Driverfusion, etc).
MSI AB was run once to set oc on first rig and to disable ULPS. On my rig, AB set the core voltage (mV) to +100 when I reset clocks. A bug that probably happens only on my first rig.

-No texture corruption on DX9 games I tried. Example: Dead Space, Mass Effect 1-2, Path of Exile, State of Decay (14.4 DLL), Lego games, Two Brothers, GTA IV DLC, and Injustice. I apologize if one of those games is not DX9.

-No BSOD unless I overclock my cpu too hard (first rig), mine is not that good.

-Sleep bug. It comes back from sleep but there is something else going on because my system fans were running slower. I couldnt find the reason for that. I never use sleep so I dont know if that is caused by drivers or my ****ty motherboard (first rig). It worked fine on the other rigs.

-More heat. Sorry I have watercooling setups.

-Installing drivers is easy like usual except for my first rig. I always get a warning that there were some errors(?) during installation. I started receiving those messages since I used DDU for the "clean" installation during the mantle driver revolution :wanker:. CCC works fine on all systems.

-No crash/corruption ever during youtube videos or any other format for video or movie.

To put it shortly I haven't been able to reproduce those issues some people are having.

I would like to advise people with CF setups to always disable ULPS when you overclock. At the first sign of low performance or second gpu full load, just follow these steps:

    -Disable CF, reboot
    -Enable CF, reboot
    -Done

If someone needs me to try a specific game, just let me know.

Guild Wars 2, and possibly Dota 2 even. Last I checked, both were free of DX9 corruption.

Yea I get errors during install warning at the end of the install too, but never associated it with DDU until now

The install has no errors though, you can check the log after the install and everything says SUCCESS

The warnings is not a problem in itself, from what I know, the Cat installer wrote a value that was already there, that's all.

If someone who have the issue could send me an export

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer

    Before and After using DDU.

Hi there, just reporting my experience with this new driver, ive had no issues so far, alltho reading the comments here, ive found a common denominator for the people that have had bsod on windows, most of these users have previously used DDU.

I had a new installation using windows server 2012 r2, and have changed to various versions of amd drivers, and ive had no issues with new batch.

Now before some DDU fan comes at me on rampage, i just think maybe it has some bug, that may be conflicting on different system configurations.

Diablo 3 performance has improved, alltho im not using high shadows (smooth) but the normal high shadows.

MWO dx9 client has some improvements too. (crysis 3 engine, poor dev coding btw)

    cheers.
