You do realise that Microsoft have already talked about ending support for Windows 8 by the end of this year so no security or bug fixes for your OS). So quite frankly it was about time you updated to 8.1 which is a free update and also changes the WDDM (Driver Model) so why should AMD invest in drivers for an OS with no support because your too lazy to upgrade...

where they state clearly " Starting with AMD Catalystâ„¢ 14.6 Beta, AMD will no longer support Windows 8.0 (and the WDDM 1.2 driver)

Windows 8.0 users should upgrade (for free) to Windows 8.1 to take advantage of the new features found in the AMD Catalyst 14.7 RC3 driver

AMD Catalyst 14.4 will remain available for users who wish to remain on Windows 8

A future AMD Catalyst release will allow for the WDDM 1.1 (Windows 7 driver) to be installed under Windows 8.0 for those users unable to upgrade to Windows 8.1

    windows 8.0?

I'm currently running windows 8.0. I didn't update to windows 8.1 and I notice that it says this driver is compatible with windows 7 and 8.1.........question is will it still work with 8.0 or will I screw everything up if I try to do that? Sorry I am a noob. Thanks in advance.

I believe it won't even let you install so you'll have to update to Win 8.1 for anything newer than AMD 14.4 drivers.
I also have another laptop with Intel+AMD gfx, Win8.0 and I only updated up to 13.12 (specifically these>> http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4867380&postcount=104
(but later I plan to update to Win8.1 so I can get the latest AMD gfx.)

    14.9 installs fine on 8.0

    Hey guys!
I recently installed this driver. I have a HP Envy 14 1010eg Laptop with an Radeon 5650 Mobile and an Intel Integrated Graphics 3000 Card.
Mainly the Intel Card is running but when I start a 3D application the Radeon Card is used. It works like a charm with one exception:

My HDMI port is only connected with the AMD card. When I want to connect a monitor it doesn't works. Is it possible to force the AMD card to run?

I would really love to use this driver because otherwise I must go back to the HP driver from 2010 :(

    Cheers!

Have you tried enabling the AMD HDMI driver via device manager?
