And.... still nothing, come on AMD!
I'll take a wild stab in the dark and say the only BIG thing coming with 14.8 will be disappointment.....uke2:
Just read a post by an AMD rep over at OC.net and i can tell you they haven't fixed the Sleep of Death issue yet "since it is extremely hard to reproduce in our labs"......
Fixed that for ya
Since I updated my VGAs BIOS, I've never had that problem anymore, with any driver I use...
Currently I'm on these latest betas, with no problems whatsoever (fixed browser corruption with HW acceleration off).
Just for reference, I've not had the SOD, nor browser corruption with the last few catalyst iterations.
Also never encountered a flash BSOD, just frame dropping. FOR ME, the pseudo-solution is the "third" option for disabling hardware acceleration. Simply "enabled" gives frame drops/skips. Simply "disabled" is even worse, but when the acceleration is already enabled, and you disable it during playback without restarting the player/browser playback is 100% perfect - hence the "third" option. And yes it's a real pain in the ass to do for every video.
the new on is coming in a few minutes
So nothing too exciting.
If we believe the release notes, barely anything has changed in over a month, other than 4K support improvements. So these drivers are going to be just as buggy(blue screens and black screens) on all my 260X cards?
