Don't worry. Mantle support is **** on my R9 270X too...especially on Battlefield 4 which suffers from consistent stuttering.

I'm curious if they will ever overhaul the user interface which has always been the most horrendous thing (particularly when it comes to loading times and responsiveness).

But it's very very strange how slow AMD has been with driver updates. Is there any truth for the CCC rewrite?

Huddy said they were in a postcast interview at MaximumPC, im inclined to believe him

But i wouldn't expect anything that major to make it into the drivers till later in the year.

How has AMD been slow in drivers? theve had one every month.

Is it my imagination or has the old 'jumping browser" bug reappeared?

if that is the bug where you have to click back on the browser 5 or six times for it to return to the previous page , then yes , it has returned , and big time.

i also find strange the lack of drivers from AMD ,oficial ones , so we can complain oficialy too.

If you want you games to stop lagging disable switchable graphics, it's a mess.

Why WF? It uses the ICL... Not so great on AMD last time I checked (~v20).

I used to disable the swichable graphics in older versions but in 14.7, there is no option to disable it.

Thanks for confirming the issue for me. I also get this again. I even get it on desktop sometimes. So glad it's not just me

I noticed that from time to time, this driver gives me some colored artifacts inside the browser (Firefox).

Went back to 14.4's just to avoid this... Waiting for the next ones...

It happens when GPU voltage is too low and/or slow to respond to clock state switching. Raising the 2D volts slightly works as a band-aid.

Bug disappeared after updating to WF v31. Using 14.7 drivers.

Long time not logged in on here.
So not up to date probably.

    What is WF v31 ???

I am using 14.4 drivers with no CCC or anything installed on my R9 290.
And everything works fine (needed to up the PCIe clock to 140 to avoid all the R9 crashes)
I was thinking of trying to update the drivers after reading this hmm dunno

If you have jumping browser issues with FF/WF try updating to v31.

My guess is conflict between specific versions of both driver and browser. Wouldn't be the first time.

Can you elaborate on this? A 40MHz hike on the PCIe is no small amount.
