With which cable is your display connected? It should be Display Port and not HDMI or DVI. And it should also be a new enough cable.
CCC shows 60 Hz with this resolution?

It's good practice to clean install.

Nope. Still terrible perfomance with Mantle. In bf4 - 10 fps lower than d3d11.1, in star swar - 5 fps on ultra. I think mantle is behaves badly if you have less than 2 gb of vram, while d3d11 manages to fit in it just fine. Like mantle has 1.5 memory overhead.

13.251.3 also a driver version for released dell alienware 17.

no power management fix for some dell, lenovo, .... notebooks. must be close ulps for working.

It doesn't have to be connected via Display Port.

DVI and HDMI do not limit the refresh rate like you seem to think they do.

But is the bug that wiped out my Windows install still present?

It's just lovely having my PC hard lock with the display in stand-by....then hitting the reset button just to end up getting a BSOD on boot because multiple system files corrupted when the system locked up....

Dude, you spent more on system memory than your video card. Mantle is to offload CPU overhead to GPU but with a $100.00 video card that isn't going to work for you, period.:stewpid:

    Thanks Asder00,

Could you please add my card its missing from the .inf AMD689C.1 (Asus Ares)

I have not been able to use a beta since it went to the 14 branch, my card was not listed in 14.1 and its not listed in 14.2. i tried 14.1 Device manager say radeon 5900 series first gaming session it CTD. so went back to WHQL.

I know that the 5900 series is supported but every time that a driver set is released with no AMD689C.1 support I get CTD 100% every time.

    Thank you

    ...Disable screen standby then?

I've had the same issue for a good while now, but I just learned to turn off my screens when I'm not using them.

It was 250$ when I bought it) And it still plays everything fine. ~60 fps on ultra with d3d11.1 in bf4. Mantle shouldn't offload load from cpu to gpu. It should offload load fro cpu and thats all) But as it turns out memory management is much better with d3d11.

    Those drivers are fu****

    Same as previous betas.

+50% power limit DOES NOT WORK AT ALL
    in any overclocking software:
TRIXX MSI AB or GPU TWEAK. Even Overdrives +50% power limit does not work.

I reported this 3 weeks ago on first mantle betas. Makes this Driver total rubbish to anyone with overclock higher than 1065mhz on 290x.

    standard

    overclocked

To compare on 12.13 whql my card gitws up to 370 watts with 50% power limit running furmark on constant 1170mhz ZERO throttling with max temperatures of 58c max on gpu and 90c on VRM1

Not like card ever gets that much abuse while gaming. But on those drivers it cant even keep 1080mhz on core due to throttling !!!!

I would say this is 100% stutter free in BF4. Maybe 50% less but still noticeable. My settings was 1920x1200 (borderless), ultra, no msaa, resolution scale 135%.

$250 when you bought it? I bought my R7850 2GB for $240 maybe 2 years ago.

"It should offload from CPU and that's all?" Wat? Just stick with DX11.1 because you don't have the GPU memory. Mantle is designed to help CPU's not GPU's.

Only difference i saw between 14.1 and 14.2 was that the stuttering
in battlefield 4 was not per 5 seconds, but per 10, so that's something right?
If they can make it stutter per 1 day with the next beta driver it'd be great.
