I will probably never buy amd again

  7. It's very rare for AMD to release drivers on a day that's not Tuesday.

I'm just playin' FC3 no stuttering at all, all highest settings. I got game with my Asus 7870...installed few days ago over Uplay with all updates and it works better then initial version. If you need any other info...

    You'll probably be fine.

Once new drivers come out, everyone will forget about this scenario. Then once a few weeks or a couple of major game releases later, the cycle of delayed driver release complaints (even though AMD in most cases doesn't even state a date), "random problem X" problem caused by something other than the driver/hardware (but lets blame AMD anyway because games are perfect) complaints, and people "threatening" to switch to the green side will occur, and then the cycle casually repeats itself

If Nvidia starts delaying drivers it's going to be fun.

Rats. I try not to get my hopes up for drivers because there's really no set timetable, but I allowed myself to get my hopes up that today was the day from everything I was reading. So I was a bit disappointed today. Hopefully next week. But this is just because I like shiny new things; I have no pressing need for them with anything I'm playing.

The other new driver release day that people are guessing is March 3 or 5 because GTA5 PC and Assassin's Creed Rogue PC will be out at March/10.

Although GTA5 PC has been pushed back from 3/10 to 4/14 according to the announcement on twitter. But anyway,as I know with the new big game title's coming out, there should be a new driver come out soon.

    If not,well I don't know too.

No stuttering for me in FC4 either. @Blackfyre, my 7950 is OC'd stable to 1120/1500. Can't you get any higher on the 7970?

If there's anything I'm never getting, it's a Gigabyte OC Edition Card. Gigabyte has mine locked via hardware, cannot increase the voltage with no matter which BIOS you flash. Even if a bios successfully flashes and programs read the voltage has increased, in reality it hasn't. They've locked the voltage on a hardware level. Sadly no I can't go over 1050Mhz on core and 1400Mhz on Memory (these are the absolute max I can achieve). A 50Mhz increase on Core and a 25Mhz increase on memory. Good thing is rarely does the GPU ever reach 72 degrees celcius with this cooler. Which means I can decrease fan speed and have it always set to 50%. Temperatures never go over 83 degrees celcius and the GPU is extremely quite.

Are you guys doing a normal install of FC4 or some tweaking is required?!

    Tweaking with RadeonPro

But even without the tweaking, even though FPS is lower, it still hasn't stuttered after the first two updates came out.

As long as you stop your GPU from throttling, stuttering goes away in almost every game. That's why I always have my GPU running at its highest speed.

Some people just don't notice stuttering until compared with another system that doesn't have any problems. The game stutters on AMD hardware.

I'm sorry what? That's interesting... I must be a moron. You're completely right I see it now! My minimum FPS is above 60 on a 60Hz monitor but I see it now... So much stuttering. *end sarcasm*.

I'm telling you the game is as smooth as butter, unless I put it on Ultra settings which my videocard can't handle at 60FPS. There's no stuttering or micro-stuttering and I know what stuttering is, I can't and don't play games if they stutter, it frustrates me.

In most games stutter disappear if you set power plan in windows to high performance.
