I'm glad this driver fixed the atiumdva.dll related crash for so many apps. VSR works properly too, I may consider increasing the resolution for my monitor, 1080p seems so big now, hehe. I would like to see some peer made benchmarks, didn't notice anything noticeable with my R9 290 performance wise.

i have to say after testing it this is by far the best driver from amd in years..

only the fact that u can go full 4k on the 290x is the drawback, but still i will always use gedosato so no biggie for me

Sounds more like one step forward, one step back.

BF4 shows some more fps in DX11 mode, but fps is not so stable as before and there is some kind of stuttering with this WHQL.
    GTA4 have very noticeable stuttering.

    rolled back to 14.11.beta2

Why does AMD link me to the wrong Win7 drivers when i'm on Win8.1? It makes installing the Display Driver not listing in the setup.

Wtf you screw up again AMD.

    @AMDMatt

Can we get some clarification on the Guru3D vs AMD driver packaging versions.

Also some clarification about why there's no Win8.1 driver on AMD.com

There is still the issue where the applications windows are resized and moved to the upper left corner of the screen after the monitor wakes up from sleep mode.

This gonna be 1 year that this bug is here (on HD7790 / 260X at least), I have reported this a lot of time on the AMD report form and nothing has changed yet. This is getting very annoying.

    Happened to me too.
Then i used the driver finder on AMD's site and it gave me the correct one.

Where is VSR located in the control panel? I cant see it here, but I have the press version I think.

I don't know about you guys but i tested AC:U FC4 and BF4 and my fps is higher about 15+ and smoother, i haven't experienced any issues yet everything seems normal...
    (i use R9 270x and FX 6300)

So, 7970/R9 280x/270x users don't even get the video upgrades, although free programs like MadVR can do them...

    Okay.

Yep, BrianJ_64 is right, as of now the Drivers + Support > Latest AMD GPU Drivers > Windows® 8 / Windows 7 (64-bit) link leads to a Win 7 only build! But the packages for Win 7 and Win 8.1 are separate now! That's why I see a lot of reports from users who are unable to install this driver correctly on Win 8.1! AMDMatt, fix your links already!

To choose the drivers for Win 8.1 manually, you have to go to Drivers + Support > DRIVERS + DOWNLOAD CENTER > scroll down a bit > Latest AMD Catalyst™ Drivers and Software > Radeon™ R9 200, R7 200, HD 7000, HD 6000, and HD 5000 Series > and finally choose the correct version from the list.

    In short: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)!

I uninstalled the 14.11.2 beta drivers, restarted, used the latest version of DDU in safe mode and even deleted the C:\AMD folders, and there isn't a single new option appearing in CCC.

The drivers are in, I can see (awesome!) and tremendous differences in AC Unity (literally 100% up in cases), but no dynamic res which is a software trick, and NOTHING new in CCC.

I have an R9 280x, and according to the readme I should have gotten some stuff, but I don't.

I got the drivers from the selector in the AMD website, and I have Windows 8.1 64bit with all the updates installed.

The VSR support seems to be depending on the GCN version (currently: 1.2 - full support; 1.1 - limited support; 1.0 - no support). But what about the R7 260(X), which is GCN 1.1? Does it work, and just wasn't mentioned? Or what are the problems exactly?
