Simply you can do it like this

Open taskmanager and terminate mom.exe
Go to: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\Profiles.xml

Change<Feature name="PowerControl_PCI_VEN_1002&DEV_6798&SUBSYS_30011682&REV_00_4&E9F8BBA&0&0008A">
<Property name="Want" value="0" />

to 40 then right click desktop and just open catalyst control center so the mom.exe restarts again. Try that

Thanks, for the suggestions.

Adding a PP_PhmSoftPowerPlayTable does seem to do the trick. Pulled the entry from the exported value of my registry when I had the previous drivers installed.

Thanks again.

Welcome Egy_pharous :)

I do the regular way and DDU, i un-install the drivers first from the Control Panel, then i reboot into safe-mode, and run DDU to get rid of any left-overs, before installing new drivers, not had any problems at all that way.

Also the drivers do contain all enhancements from the previous 14.11.1 drivers, plus extra improvements and fixes.

Can't answer which ones better for the 7650m, so i'll leave that for someone else.

You neednt bother uninstalling from control panel, DDU does all that for you.

DDU and similar tools are not replacements for standard uninstallers, they should be used only if regular uninstallers fail somehow.

Interstingly artifacts with these drivers in some games. Like WoT, WoW and AC3. Nothing in revelations, ac4 at least.

Not removing everything is a fail though, isn't it?

I've heard DDU could be used without first running CIM, but I usually just run CIM first to remove the driver, then immediately run DDU to reboot into Safe Mode.

I tried it once where I just ran DDU first instead of CIM, and everything (easily visible) that was usually removed with CIM was still gone, and I didn't see any issues.

AMD CIM is a lot less efficient than nVidia custom Clean install option. (IMO)
One of the main reason I created DDU was because of the AMD uninstaller not removing the videocard. (its replacing it) so, it leaves all registry info on the Class in the registry.

nVidia custom clean install remove the driver first (cleaning the registry key Class associated with it). and then install the new one.

For the rest of the cleaning, both installer does not remove the CLSID/APPID/TypeLibs etc.... just to mention a few.

Is it necessary? usually not.

DDU for typical users , should be used when needed.
DDU can be used every time for those who like controlling/having more tight control over their machine.

That's my thoughts.... take it or leave it.

These beta 2 drivers finally fixed my issues.

No more crashing or atikmdag.sys errors.

I have been stuck on the 14.7's for awhile.

I can also run mantle again in Bf4 without huge frame drops

I'm so jealous cause I'm still having the same mantle issues in BF4 and also but other than that it's been working great. Still getting vram leak in BF4 using mantle so a no go for this driver. Even on overclock.net people reporting that this driver and the new update fixes all the issues so i don't know why I'm still having the same issue. Could it be because I'm running 2560x1440

I'm also still having massive fps drops in BF4 when using mantle. It drops from 100 to like 8 for a second and then goes back up again. No problems when using DirectX.
I have a MSI R9 280x
