Yes but I think this is only with Enduro the case not with PX (APU+dGPU)

    No.

    MSI GX60 Test. (A10-5750M, HD8650G with HD8970M)

PX Dynamic Switch OFF (HD8650G Disabled) = Very GOOD Performance (All API)

PX Dynamic Switch ON (HD8650G Enabled) = BAD... Low Performance (All API)

Problem for me, by disabled the igpu, the dgpu got heat problems.
Sometimes there are stripes / glitches which don't disappear.

Yes it is. It does not matter which platform or whatever either. I get much better performance by just using the dGPU only.

What laptop do you have? They might've goofed and not put a HS/F on the dGPU...

So in Muxed mode, when dGPU is connected "directly" it has better performance?
Where did you let to modify the bios? On Leshcat's forum?

    Catalyst version is simply modified.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000] or [0001]

    "Catalyst_Version"="13.12" => "14.1"

Optimization of all of the graphic is not reflected.

Yes. Direct output is a good performance.

Blocked the main board circuit (muxless) ...
Cannot be modified in the modded bios.

13.30 RC3 did not cause the problem.

Well compared to my laptop it certainly isn't normal, but I don't think MSI would goof that bad.

Think about it like this... with MuxLess and/or Dynamic Switching, the dGPU has to copy its data to the iGPU in order for it to get to the display. That's yet another step to render a frame. With Mux and Fixed Switching, the dGPU has a connection directly to the display, and it doesn't have to deal with the iGPU at all.

As for the modded BIOS, http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...-dv6z-llano-overclock-optimization-guide.html

Umm, you're somewhat correct and somewhat incorrect here regarding the modded BIOS.
Yes, the laptop needs the multiplexer for Mux mode, and correct, that's certainly not something a modded BIOS can add.
However, this particular laptop has that hardware, but the stock BIOS has it locked in MuxLess mode! What the modded BIOS does, is allow changing it to Mux mode, since the hardware is already there! And as I showed in the imgur gallery in my post, you can then switch between the 2 modes right from Catalyst Control Center, so in the BIOS it's a "set it and forget it" thing.

There's no difference in performance between the two releases, the only difference is adding support for 8800M-series GPUs.

Hi LeeKM, finally i installed driver on my laptop Acer 5820TG-5454G50Mnks. But i have some question about the driver and the Windows 8.1.

    My specification is:
    • Intel Core i5-450M, 2666 MHz (20 x 133)
    • ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 (Madison)
    • Intel HD Graphics (Gen1)
    • 4GB RAM
    • 500GB HDD
    • Windows 8.1 64 Bit with all updates

I install latest IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver 15.22.58.64.2993 (8.15.10.2993) and AMD Catalyst 14.1 Mobility BetaV1.6 SG. Fix Drivers.

This is procedure which i done:
    1. Uninstall driver from "Control Panel" -> AMD Catalyst Install Manager
    2. Restart to the "Safe Mode"
    3. In "Device Manager" -> PPM and Uninstall all graphics cards
    4. Clean with Driver Fusion v2.0
    5. Clean with DDU v12.1
    6. Restart to the "Advanced Boot Options" and Disable Driver Signature Enforcement
    7. Install the Intel and Catalyst driver with disabled driver signature enforcement
    8. In "Windows Security" alert popup i will select the "Install this driver software anyway"

After this, all drivers is installed correctly. But i have problem with switching graphics, when I:
    • Switch from Intel -> Radeon (Black screen! No backlight! No brightness control!)
    • Switch from Radeon -> Intel (Everything is ok, i have the backlight and change the brightness!)

However, when i connect laptop to the Sony Bravia TV with HDMI in AMD Radeon card i see my desktop! In laptop is no backlight, black screen but in tv i see everything! WTF?

    Help me if you can!

    Thanks!
