Yes looks like OpenGL was scrapped from this
anyone with a korean monitor having issues getting 120hz working with this driver? ive tried repatching the driver, ive tried reseting CRU, cant get anything other than 60hz for some reason, first driver ive come across that does this. I'll try a fresh install of 14.1 next (i installed over the top) will post back
alright, so looks like its to do with the DVI/HDMI limit not being found by the patcher... not sure what to do now lol
guys..is it advisable to go for a clean install? my current catalyst version is 13.30 beta..can i just update it to this 14.1 beta or i need to uninstall it first? will it make a difference? please clarify. Thanks.
BF4 does feel much smooth with Mantle enabled. Just a shame that the gameplay isn't as smooth as of yet. Too much stuttering to be able to play a multiplayer match.
How do you disable the onboard graphics from windows? there is no such option in my device manager!
Via your BIOS?
uninstalling currently installed driver then installing new one is always better,
than installing new driver on top of currently installed driver.
I seriously would buy you a beer for that. THANK YOU!
In "display adapters" of "device manager" I have my main gpu and a intel hd on-chip gpu where I right clicked to choose to disable it.
If you have not a option to disable it in windows it maybe can be disabled in the bios as already posted.
SweetFX doesn't work with Mantle.
thought so...thank you for affirming that
There is no hope in GCN mobility. :bang::bang::bang:
I can't believe it. AMD really make it. Great work, AMD!
Calm down dude. Battlefield 4 will support mobility later.
Disable your integrated graphics if you are crashing upon loading in BF4 or StarSwarm
Just tried a run on a full 64 players on Shangai.
I must say I am IMPRESSED.
I7 2600K @5.0
Crossfire 7970 - Msi Lightning @1200/1700
Game never droped below 145 FPS with an average of 165, no CPU spike, no stuttering.
GPU usage is from 80 to 95 on both cards.
I used gametime.maxvariablefps 200 and perfoverlay.drawfps 1
Any clue to get FRAPS working with mantle ?
What's the best way to bench? ty
I'm getting occasional spikes, but overall am very impressed. In fact, it's better than expected. I use Shanghai and Operation Locker for testing purposes. Shanghai FPS and visual quality at max settings is just......wow. OL will likely be off the chart now.
Has anyone figured out the spike issue? It appears to be random or at least not time based. Not worried about that.....minor problem considering this is beta and all new.
FRAPS does not work anymore (only used it for FPS testing), nor does MSI Afterburner. I believe there are new console commands that includes benchmarking, but forget the source link.
@Alpin : i think the only way to bench mantle right now is only starswarm, but being able to run starswarm is a matter of luck, a lot of people are like me, only grey screen shows up, some even worse than just grey screen.
@onlytanmoy : your welcome
Well, i will never buy a dual gpu again. 100% second gpu.
The best drivers for my 5970 was 10.5 with bf3, after that i had to choose BF3 Drivers or other games drivers.
You need the latest AMD driver patcher 1.2.3 from ToastyX. I used that and it worked no problems.
I tried to run Star Swarm... but still Mantle driver coming soon
