    It was under win 7. Win 8.1 is much faster with DirectX.

    thief is exactly 1 week away from release.
    my bet is there going to release the next beta to coincide with the release of thief.

    they better have it optimized or i will be extremely peeved.

    on the negative side of things Castlevania lords of shadow 2 is out in 4 days and if there releasing a new driver in a week then there is going to be no optimizing of this game at all this is going to blow.

    and also the weird thing is i can preload thief now and its out in a week but i can not preload castlevania lords of shadow 2 at all from steam lol and its out in 4 days.

    I've noticed 14.1 is a slow set for non-Mantle tasks (esp. benchmarking). At same or higher clock speeds I get lower results in various benchmarks than 13.x.
