Looping through the benchmark a few times didn't help, nor did the Ram Drive. Might be a driver issue (slow texture loading) or even an issue with the benchmark, shouldn't be that hard viewing a black screen, but something is sure going on...

Seems like most people are getting low minimum fps, even lower than mine :/

You can use Microsoft Office Excel ,FRAFS Bench Viewer or MicroStutter Checker like I did at benchmark3d website ,I was using Fraps to benchmark frametimes

Not surprising that a ram drive didn't help. Try what I suggested. Even if it means enabling pagefile and running winsat.

I think it was just a limited edition of 7870. So it's still not has fast a the 7950, probably a performance/cost alternative to the 660 TI. It's not that much faster than 7870 Pitcairn.

As other suggested rolling back audio drivers or reinstall
Realtek HD Driver 2.70 (they force uninstall current audio
    drivers before installing new ones).

Winsat did not help at all, exactly the same fps as before...
Something is happening during the transitions but as soon as the black is fading out the fps is back at 80+. This is happening at every transition no matter how many loops.

good drivers in general. nice frametimes on bf3.

my only problem is on dmc, i barely get to 75fps, can't play with vsync anymore.

Same order here except that I have video issues. Beta 5 + 6 cause me random bsods on video playback (mplayer+SVP).
Beta 4 has no such issues.
Games run fine tho, on all betas.

Getting BSOD on my 7850 with beta 6 ( same thing occurred on beta 4 and 5 ). Happened in the Crysis 3 beta, Guild Wars 2, and just now in Alan Wake.

It's quite possible that my overclock is too high, so I'll be running it at stock for the next few days. Perhaps I just wasn't giving my card enough of a workout to bring out the BSOD in the past.

Btw... I'm getting a weird artifact when scrolling down webpages ( both Firefox and Chrome ). It's a screen tear, but rather than cutting the screen horizontally, it cuts it vertically. This happens at stock clocks. Anybody else seeing this?

Just use this page for an example. Middle mouse click somewhere and just let it scroll slowly up and down a couple times to try and spot it. It happens even when Windows Areo is enabled, which should eliminate screen tearing on the desktop.

I've only found 1 or two cases of this being mentioned in the past :frown:

Chrome and Firefox both use Webkit renderer to draw web pages... Try a different browser. if it repeats its unrelated, if its repeats report it on AMD web page.

Try stock clock and check for BSOD when playing some 3d games... If they are gone.

    Uh, no.
    Firefox uses Gecko.

But there are reports on patterned black boxes (or artifacts) with Firefox.
Personally my browser looks fine, so it could be only on newer cards for some reason.

    actually firefox uses Gecko engine.
