Maybe they have own great driver with own numbering for AMD demonstrations, and give us just remnants from it

Well, I returned to 13.10B2, and the screen jumps are gone.
This is actually refreshing since the jumps became something to be expected every minute or so, and became a bit annoying.
Performance is slightly poorer, the 13.11 drivers are definitely smoother and better in maintaining fps at the same level.
    Maybe this years betas...

Is that the issue that kinda looks like it's a vsync thing? If so, that was the only solution I found as well. 5970+5850 here.

"Would you kindly" refer a driver for my little old Mobility Radeon 5650 that would give better gaming performance ... tried this one but I seem to get some stutter in Skyrim ...

Screen jump disappears when using driver older than 13.11

OC and Powertune hack not working

    Hi.

I have 7950 and I was using 13.11 9.5 drivers. I used Powertune hack to allow +50% Powertune setting. I had to set +50% if I wanted my card to stay at 1000MHz or higher (was running at 1150 stable). If I hadn't done that my card always run at 900Mhz or was jumping from 1000 to 900 or stick to 900.

With this driver that registry hack doesn't work anymore. Actually if I add that registy key it breaks GPU and MEM monitoring and OC. In CCC tab "Performance" isn't even shown. So I reinstalled without +50% hack.

Another problem: I cannot OC with this driver. In Catalyst Control Panel or in MSI Afterburner I tried to set GPU or MEM clock higher or lower but it stays at 1000/1250 and when I start something it starts jumping from 1000 to 900 and back. Powertune +20% doesn't do anything.

That registry hack to allow +50% didn't actually allow to use 50% more power. My Watt Meter didn't show any difference between +20% or +50%. But at +50% GPU clock stayed as configured.

Any ideas why I cannot OC? Does anyone have same problems as I?

I would suggest the 13.4 WHQL. It seems (at least to me) to be the best one for cards less than the 7000 series. I'm even using a modded version of it on my older laptop running 8.1 and with a Radeon Xpress200M graphics chip. It's modded with the OpenGL files and some other files from the 10.2 driver set.

My HD6620G graphics are pretty much equivalent performance wise with the Mobility HD5650 and I get 28-45 fps in Skyrim with no stutter on medium settings using the 13.4 driver.

We are also looking at the 290 tri x. €392,15 for the normal edition and €402 for BF4 edition. But waiting time is over 10 days .
It's not for my pc though, so the wait is not my concern :D

I turned off the pagefile, which solves the BSOD on startup of me. Kind of an awkward workaround, I agree, but really helps. My system feels a more faster that way, so config is a keeper for me.

With 13.12 WHQL the flickering is back on rare occasions :bang:, when browsing with Firefox or having open Thunderbird.

I'm getting seemingly random fps drops on battlefield with the 13.12, on win8 and win7.
The screen flickering is still not fixed (random flickering lines, even with chrome)

Today's sw:tor patch seems to have ruined things for AMD. Went from no real issues to flickering and missing textures all over the place. Hoping to see a new driver very very soon

After being discovered and then subsequently removed from the 13.6 betas back in October, the GTA V profile is back again in this driver -13.30.

It wasn't in any other driver released since October. (I checked)

    Just thought I'd mention that.

    ------------

Also, discovered in the last WHQL (13.12)

Not sure why no one mentioned this.

Ooops. I posted that ^^ in that wrong thread. I meant to post it in the 13.30 driver thread, mods, can you move it?
