 I thought I was the only one with this problem.. I couldn't install 13.10 so eventually I installed a fresh win8.1 and it worked but now trying to update to these and it's the same :(

    TY asder...

Will try them since b2's & BF4 didn't mix well for me -60% gpu util (could be my aging 955@3.8 and debugger, though).

I'm still not getting anywhere with Crossfire in BF4. My FPS is the same regardless of the Crossfire setting... hell, Crossfire is often WORSE than the single card by itself! :bang:

    Any ideas?

    Settings:
    -- BF4's "Ultra" Preset, 64-person Conquest
    -- VSYNC ON
    -- Game set to FULLSCREEN

    CrossfireX is ENABLED:
    -- GPU1 Average Load: 46%
    -- GPU2 Average Load: 38%
    -- CPU (i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz) is hovering in the 90-100% range
    FRAPS FPS benchmark (5 minutes):
    Min, Max, Avg
    5, 77, 44.817

    CrossfireX is DISABLED:
    -- GPU1 Average Load: 91%
    -- GPU2 Average Load: 0%
    -- CPU (i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz) is hovering in the 80-90% range
    FRAPS FPS benchmark (5 minutes):
    Min, Max, Avg
    4, 74, 48.473

Lol, ofc I was joking. Gotta love self-upgradable hardware.

I've noticed for those who are switching back and forth between windowed/full screen that the BF4 beta tends to disable crossfire sometimes even when you go back to fullscreen or other performance oddities. I would recommend (and I know you guys love to take the screenshots showing cpu-z/gpu-z etc) that you just run and test in full screen for crossfire and report back. And keep in mind that it is still a beta and could exhibit weird user-specific issues..

I've tested without exiting using the FRAPS benchmark hotkey... there's no difference whatsoever. My FPS average between 45-50, regardless of the CrossfireX being ON or OFF.

The game just froze for me with these drivers, on the new Obliteration game mode. Same performance as before however did notice a little better GPU usage with it being 98-99% the whole time and CPU usage never hit 100% on ANY thread/core was around 70-90% (jumped up to 98% on one core when I exited the game).

uhg... I wonder why my 7870XT's are the opposite? They're also Tahiti-based, which is why it's odd...

very strange cause my 2 cards show no where near 80-90% gpu usage in crossfire.

    Im getting singlefire performance lol

I hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one!

What cards are you running? The 7950's in your sig? Is it possible that that AMD jacked up the crossfire profiles in these drivers for a select few cards?

    Here the same with 7950cfx 13.10beta v2 >80% utilization, cpu 8threads with 70%-80% util. 50-60fps

1920x1080@ultra, but wanna test it also without cfx.

Your using v2 drivers, i had no issues with the previous drivers, its these newest v1`s thats causing low gpu usage..

ok i might have been a little premature, gpu usage is fine but performance is not that great. though i am constantly over 70fps lol with everything maxed :D
    --------------------------
Though the 99% gpu bug is still there i can 100% proof that based on my cards, i have to disable ULPS as my bottom card is constantly at 99% even on the desktop doing diddle squat lol

It would be ridiculous if the game actually requires more power than an i5-3570k @ 4.4 Ghz just to handle Crossfire properly.

DICE's CPU over-utilization fix can't come soon enough... I only hope that it simultaneously fixes the GPU under-utilization problem!
