I know, overall the 760 is a bit faster, but i play BF4 everyday alot of hours, and the FPS is killing me.
The second reason i want to change it for the toxic is the length of the card, this Asus 760 is tiny and looks horrible in a big tower like the Cosmos SE.

I can go crossfire this month, but my PSU isn't up for that, and buying a beefier one isn't in my budget.
Or i have to use the molex cables that come with the cards but my PSU will probably blow. :D

Guys, someone is having problem with this driver in Fallout 3?
Here it just get stuck in that slide with Bugthesda logo, never reaches the menu.
    Then it crashes.

I expended hours to make this mother****er work under Windows 8, tweaked it the hell out of it. And now this, lol

Bugthesda should stop selling this game if they can't provide support in modern systems anymore.

i started a new game the other night.

No issues other than the usual random crashes all gamebyro games have.

    although im using win 7

its single threaded, try binding it to a core other than 0

Do you have Radeonpro? If so disable it and run the game. Let me know if it made a difference.

With Mantle, that won't be the case anymore. So there's no need for him tom upgrade his CPU.

Doesn't matter. The 920 is still a good CPU. Particularly in BF4 as HT gives it an advantage and it comes pretty close to the 2500K.

It would be better to save up some more and get at least the 280x, since you're upgrading your current videocard.
As for opinions about bf4, I haven't bought it yet because of the many complaints I read in the battlelog forums. Untill that changes, I wont get it either.

This driver is the better one of the B9 series, although I still have the occasional screenjump.

Any news on possible 13.12 drivers? Maybe with Mantle support?

I am thinking Mantle will be GCN specific but I really think they will try something here to get people to upgrade to the new cards. Like 7000 series users only get certain features, or to get full features you need Win8 or something daft like that.

Fingers crossed for at least 10fps more in BF4 that would be great and I don't think that is much to ask either! :)

Although, how much more will it stress our card? Will our current overclocks still be stable using Mantle??? :/ we shall see!

Yep 100% agree R9 270X is really a pointless card to be honest. The older 7950 and 7970 outperform it in every test.

    I tried here, no luck.
Still looks like the game does not receives input on that slide, so it can't be bypassed to reach the menu.

Yes I have, but 3rd party stuff is the first thing I disable when get problems. ENB, SweetFX, RadeonPRO, FOSE, all disabled and using default .ini settings.

    --

But thanks you guys, I will wait for a new driver while I mess around with .ini settings. Not on the mood to reinstall the game right now, lol
