"PCI-E bus speed is no longer set to x1 on the secondary GPU when running in CrossFire configurations" no no no wait.... :bang: i didn't understand that before...
i don't remember that they wrote that bug in this way, understood that it was only displayed as x1... NOT SET...
"set" means a completely different thing, means that they released in mid-august a nonsense drivers package...13.8b2
why did they do that? how to expect good performance with the first card into x16 slot and the second SET at x1 ? :3eyes: so seems that 13.8b2 indeed was a bull****...anyway not tried this 13.10 yet...will see...

2011 tomshardware article about performance drops with rigs from x8/x8 to x16/x4
    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pci-express-scaling-p67-chipset-gaming-performance,2887-10.html

so, imagine the difference with x16/x1 ...anyway not clear if the first gpu was running at x16 or at x1 too (x1/x1) who knows?... :wanker:

Damn drivers are making my second GPU on the 7990 go at 100% even after a reboot. :/

Disable ULPS. Use MSI Afterburner Beta.

Yeah thanks man, I know how to fix it, but I find it odd that it survives even after a reboot. First time its happened, as usually a reboot and I'm good to go!

Not everyone had that bug with the 13.8's, so they probably didn't class it as a huge issue. :)
