Is the included CAP the 12.3 1 or a new 12.4?

A question for you guys.
I have been having problems when using Hardware decoding on ArcSoft Total Media Theater. The screen goes black, then goes back to normal, but TMT crashes (I guess is the card reseting)
This is since 12.1 i think.
Anyone has a solution?
Also, Hardware de-interlacing is working like crap.

 

Looking forward to trying these! was just about to reinstall Windows so its nice to start with a new driver! I wish I hadn't needed to re-install, but the drive I have Windows on is failing despite being new, as well as another new drive, which I started a thread regarding packaging back to Seagate about...

Anyways, a bit off topic, but it means I can start a fresh Windows with a fresh display driver, so its not so bad!

 

Anyone managed to download them from The_Virus links, they seem to download fine, but when trying to unpack, it fails saying :- unknown method in 8.97-120418a\packages\drivers\SBDrv\SB6xx\RAID\LH64A\ahcix64s.msi and a load of other files from the same folder, and when they've all unpacked and appeared, all the files are 0k in size.

A more on topic question; anyone know if this driver works in Windows 8 CP?

No doubt the best drivers for 7970 Crossfire and BF3. first impression is very good.

 

Yeah, on my first try to unpack using winrar this happened to me too. Then I download 7zip.exe, install it and extracting the files without any problem. I tried to install the catalyst and no problem so far.

 

Just update your software regularly and you wont have any problems. Winrar 4.10 unpacked normally.

 

Fast download, over 7MB/s Rar is fine, extracts fine

 

Updated winrar can extract the files just fine for me.

I managed to download the driver from depositfiles and already tryed bf3 in windows 8.

Installer working fine (CCC+Driver) installed automatically not like 12.4 that need manual driver installation.

Performance its the same as 12.4 march15 for me.

 

Just as I was losing my patience with ATI this driver comes along. So far no problems. 7970 xfire good in BF3, no 2d clock issue yet. Going to try W8 now.

 

that may or may not mean anything, as the missing stuff could have been fixed in the driver itself.

 

Wouldn't the full version number work as to compare although I always thought the application profiles were trimmed down when the fixes therein got included into the actual drivers.

EDIT: Yeah it has a newer version number but what do I know.
(12.3 CAP1 is called 2.0.4469.34733 and this one is 2.0.4491.38420 and there's just 7 KB difference in installed size reported but again what do I know.)

Ok after a bit of testing I can say the following:

IQ is great, the same as the last few drivers.
BF3 performs really well with this set too!
Idle Clocks are fixed for me, second GPU finally is really idle when it should be
Crysis 2 and Rage run nicely too

but they still did not fix Skyrim's crossfire flickering for me.
Yet I'm happy about this drivers as it won't burn my GPU and at least I can play BF3 in higher settings
