Thank you for posting this. I was just about to try these but I use TrackIR regularly so this would be an issue for me.

Sticking with the 12.3's for now I guess.

These drivers seem to break video playback, can't switch to fullscreen, if i manage to switch to fullscreen video does not strech, if i manage to stretch it to fullscreen, than quality is horrible.

What version of the TrackIR drivers are you running?

    I'm on 5.1.200 (Build 9414)

Hi. In my HD6870CFX with 12.1 + cap3, the image in Skyrim is perfect, no flickering. You choose the TESV in Catalyst 3D CFX options?

For track IR users ( i use it for BS and DCS: A10C ) just check AA is not set before open the TrackIR software ( as you seen it apply AA on the software screen )... should work this way ( not confirmed ) .

For me, these seem to be the best driver, even better than the 12.3RC. Video playback seems flawless on the second screen, and using my combination of MPC-HC's JanWillem32's codepath (renderer fixes and changes, advanced shaders etc), reclock, optimum personal settings including Direct3D and using reclock etc, when changing position in the file and changing files etc, occasionally it used to just drop out. I tolerated that since the combination gives the best quality, but it doesn't do it with this driver :)

    Hi,

I came across the same problem while testing some unreleased amd beta drivers yesterday. They are aware of the problem and will fix it.

Right now, I am downloading a new beta version with this problem hopefully fixed. Also, it should fully support MSI AB, Trixxx etc.

The only reason I mention this is for you not to worry that your hardware or windows has a problem. Its a "recognised" 2D driver component issue.

    EDIT:
This problem with increased 2d clocks and voltages appears with ULPS disabled in crossfire setups. So non-crossfire setups should be probably ok.

As soon as I turn AA on at all in BF3 I get massive fps loss with these drivers and all the ones before it as well?

I get usually 90+ FPS on High settings with AA enabled it drops to around 30-40 fps and lower in combat.

    Anyone know why?

Currently im using only 1 6970 and i have this issue with 14 feb drivers.
so its not just a crossfire issue.

Thanks for the input! I have crossfire and this was the feedback i got when i reported the bug about my crossfire setup when i was disabling ULPS.

Just for info, i already have a new driver they gave me to test, that does not have this problem. In this "corrected" edition they just used the previous 2D driver component (3d driver etc are new) so all 2d clock/voltage problems are gone.

Hopefully soon there will be another official release.

These are no good. They are fast as all get out, but they crash and then recover into corrupted graphics. Back to 12.3RC.

I was hesitant on testing these drivers with the reported issue of clocks being stuck in 3d. I guess I'm lucky as I don't have this problem. BF3 runs fantastic with this set.

GPU-Z, AIDA64 and GPU Caps Viewer report this set as Catalyst 12.2, but the d3d driver is newer than the 12.3 rc.....what's up with that?

    Edit-

Another issue...my GPU clocks are now stuck in performance mode for some reason....wonder if it'll improve my gaming fps then...:3eyes:
