Flash is going out of style anyway :p YouTube can already do HTML5. Some other video sites and flash game sites however...

    Thanks!

I can't see the "increased performance for X game" in the release notes, or did they not mention them because they did with 12.7 beta? Gonna try them tomorrow, hopefully the performance is better for Skyrim.

Well, against my better judgement I am going to try these.

Every driver upgrade since the April 18th 8.97 (12.4x) have been a grey screen of death disaster. I sure hope these work.

Gahhk, I hate having that feeling of dread when installing driver upgrades. I'm not sure all is greener on the other side of the fence, but if these crash like the others, it will sure look more appealing.

Edit: Well, right off the bat, the low power voltages are the same 0.806 that I've been getting with the 12.6 and up (low power when the GPU is at 300Mhz). This has always been different then the .849 I had from every driver up to and including the April18th 8.97s.
I've got a baddd feeling about this.

you could raise voltage a tick & maybe fix your GSODs?

i also wonder about you GSOD people... ULPS on or off? try the other? does it even affect single cards?

I don't think you can edit the low power voltage. I took a look at the Profiles.xml in the ACE directory of the ATI in the AppData, and it has the Want_0 as 850 in the CoreVoltage target.

Not sure that is worth much though, since it is in the Overdrive area of the XML file.

I am doing a couple things different this time

    1) I am not enabling the AMD overdrive and TDP in the CCC.
Instead I am just using the Sapphire TRIXX overclock/overvolt/BoardPowerLimit settings I've always used for my overclock. (Before, I would always do both because that has been how it always was done. We'lll see what happens this time)

    2) And I am also, not disabling the ULPS. Again, before you had to disable the ULPS in order for TRIXX to work, or it would pop-up a nasty message and not be able to change the voltage.
Along with not needing the ATIPdlxx.DLL files anymore, it appears it does not need to have ULPS disabled also.

I have run the same overclock with the same overvolts through all the drivers up to the April 18th and all have worked fantastic. It just after that release, I started having the GSODs.

I ran my customary benches, and the card overclocks as it always has and the overclock voltage reads as it always has. It is just the low power voltage is what has me worried because that has been the major noticable difference in the voltages since the April18th drivers.

Gonna try actual games now and see what shakes out. Also trying the new RadeonPro build with these drivers (have to basically in order to set vsync and triple buffer in some games).

Yeah I did. I uninstalled my drivers and then used driver fusion to remove everything and then re-installed the 12.8 and I was golden. Hope this helps.

So OverDrive still disappears and I'm on now a completely NEW installation of Window 7 64bit

    Herp derp, AMD.

Skyrim is still a mess in fullscreen mode when indoors and SR3 still runs unsatisfactorily compared to Nvidia's equivalent cards.

These work just as good as the earlier RC1 version (Well it's pretty much the same thing but with a newer date on some of the files - same version though it seems - and a updated CCC.) no issues so far, that bug with Firefox sounds strange as I haven't had any problems with that browser, no issues with Flash either though 11.3 has updated a few times by now (.271 or what the latest was.) and there's a 11.4 beta 2 or such too.

The games I've tried (Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs and Skyrim mainly.) work just fine too, don't think AMD has proper profiles for DSiders2 and SDogs but maybe via that CAP thing?
(Using 12.7 CAP3 currently, no issues there either.)

Strange to read about all these problems but I've not had any issues with this card so far, some of it seems Crossfire related though but there's a few posts by single GPU owners as well.
(I'm using W7 x64 fully updated and such, might upgrade to eight in October but probably that will wait until even later, drivers are slowly being adapted - had to do a full rewrite of the motherboard bios a week back since they changed .rom to .cap for compatibility and then yesterday a second update came out, cumbersome but well worth it, all sorts of interesting additions and the stability fixes - whatever they are - are most welcome.)

EDIT: Interesting that these (And the earlier RC1 of course.) are still 8.982 based, maybe those 9.00 drivers are even earlier alphas than I first thought, wonder when that upgrade will happen.

You're not experiencing issues in FireFox because you're not using CrossfireX

omg, looks like almost everyone who have bugs with drivers, are using 7xxx (and some 5xxx) series of cards. But I have the most stupid videocard, and it works amazingly perfect with any driver in this forum. Also, I use Firefox (Chrome has less usability for me) with HWA (never turned it off since version 4 with it appeared) and latest Flash Player (with HWA on and security turned off) an I don't have any bugs with this driver. I don't play much games now, but everything I have now (Dirt 3 Showdown, Skyrim, Prototype 2) works smooth and without graphical corruption at all (maybe because of 2xAA only). Thats all about Windows 7 x64. Today I'm gonna have an Intel SSD, and I will install Win8 x64 RTM on it. Hope I won't have any driver bug in Win8

7970 xfire here. No problems with 12.8 so far.
12.6 & 12.7 were bad for me. Was still on 12.4 until these.

Only problem so far, metro 2033 will not enable vsync, even if forced through CCC. Not something I am concerned about.
