i have problem when i install this drivers, appear an error message and this file... i don`t know what say in this file :bang:

Go to RUN - Regedit and search " Catalyst_Version " double click and change 12.6 to 12.7.
Restart and now you have 12.7 xDD

 

I was ecstatic when realized my 7690m was on the list of cards, everything installed clean as a whistle. 12.7 Running, recognizes it as a 7670m now, no big deal to me. My issue seems to reside right now with the fact that I'm getting 0 frames per second in Diablo III on the same settings i was getting 30-40 on with my year old drivers. I've attempted to overclock and this also does not resolve the issue. Is there something I may have done wrong?

Very odd. Thank you for that though, and I know this sounds noobish; but i do get the one of a kind noob nametag under my username to go with it. What are these "CAP"s that are being spoken about? Would I have to use this Cap thing from 12.6 like everyone else although my card wasn't a supported 12.6 card?

 

Catalyst Application Profiles. It's a file that has preset application settings used by gfx cards. (whether forced AA is allowed/disallowed, CF mode ...that type of thing).

Personally I never bother installing them.

Most of the profiles are geared towards CF users, with some single card exceptions.

 

Well, then I'm not all too worried about them currently. I passed my burn in test with my newly overclocked settings, just have to find a new game to test my fps out on. Diablo III was my testing basis, seeing as how its the most graphic intensive game i have, and played the most. *Shrug* But, I digress. Thank you again everyone. I'll be sticking around Guru indefinitely, so try not to get sick of me.

 

Update: I tried running Starcraft 2, was once able to run on medium-high and now hardly ran on medium. Ran into an issue with a flickering screen, which i tried suffering through to not leave the game. But, it ended in a crash anyway. Sad to say I'm about to spend an hour re-rolling to my old-drivers. I hope to see a more stable 7690m driver here in the future, Or possibly even once this gets released as a whole package and not just the beta. Anyway, thanks for the work and I look forward to future work.

Hey guys I just installed these and my sound, through hdmi, is stutter like it goes in and goes out. For example, it sounds like someone is turning the volume up and down but down to the point where there is no sound.

 

I've tried these out.

Previous 12.6 Beta with 12.6 CAP 1 - 7850X2




BF3 MP 48 Player Nosehair Canals Server - All Ultra, 4XAA, AP: High, AF X16 1920X1080p, MB:Off (Top)

Crysis 2 Campaign + DX11 and High Res Pack. All Ultra, 1920X1080p (Middle)

Metro 2033 Campaign. DX11 On, DOF:Off, Very High Settings, 1920X1080p (Bottom)

New 12.7 Beta with 12.6 CAP 1 - 7850X2

Same Settings as above.




If I get any crashes over the next few days, I'll be reverting back otherwise there is no harm in keeping them.

 

Are these the same drivers that are being distributed to reviews of the 7970 GHz Edition? They're all saying that AMD has launched a new 12.7 beta to go with it, but there's no sign of it on the website.

 

Guys does make sense for single gpu users install caps? Or its not? Because i havent.

 

when i star play skyrim in the firts "loading" then "continue" display driver fixer.

i'd uninstall CCC "9.00-120612a" with driver sweeper and safe mode.

config: win 7 x86 (spanish), HD6670, skyrim: v1.5 (spanish)...

 

Interesting, but I can assure you my single 7970 is not overheating when this happens.
