never happens to me. Always squeaky clean with no leftover files/directories.

once atiman intially reboots to run advanced mode, the standard vga driver is already enabled, and my desktop reso is set to what it was before i ran it.

i never reboot after, i just install the new drivers, and reboot after if it asks...

the normal process that atiman uses is:

    1. run CCC uninstaller in silent mode
    2. switch to standard vga driver
    3. reboot
    4. clean files/directories and registry in pre-desktop
    5. load desktop/reg hives

if you are running some funky resolution that isnt supported by the standard vga driver, then it will probably hose your desktop.

Im using 1920x1200 and never have issues. It will however reset my desktop to a lesser reso if i reboot. no thanks, its a pain to fix everything.

Uh, you probably meant 12.2 for the older version, and 13.0 for the latest one.
It's actually more recommended to downgrade to 10.3 since it has the security patches 13.0 has that 12.2 lacks.

Can you guys see if the 2d voltages are borked in this driver?
In the 12.6's they 2d voltages were 0.79v, while in 12.5 (the last fully working set) and older, they were 0.84v. This is apparently causing certain crashes, like 2D checkerboard/white screen/fan 100% lockups, or lockups with games in windowed mode with other applications running (e.g Maplestory and flash), or lockups when some games switch from 3D mode back to 2D mode.

5 series cards clocks never worked either. These too low clock setting have always sucked. With mine you could not overclock and run two monitors or the 2nd monitor would flicker all the time due to low clocks. Never fixed, never cared, there is a fix that i will be using next time i purchase a card however. If I want to save power I will get off my a$$ and turn of a light!

    Regards

Does these drivers also have the same problems with screen size that the other betas have? The screen initially starts too small, but as soon as you open CCC it returns to normal. Or you can wait for a bunch of minutes and it is normal again.

I see this with the earlier June beta release - it is highly noticable if you use Windows Media Center with a projector.

    With the last 12.6 beta,CAP 1 12.6 and I have some slowdown (30-40fps) on Max payne 3.
1080p dx11, MLAA OFF, FXAA on high. Two 6970 crossfire x.

During the slowdown if I press alt+tab I return on the desktop, pressing again i come back in the game with 60fps.

    Is the game kidding me?

    How much improvement?

If this driver is good why are you using 12.6?

Should I use the latest CAP?
