I trying to get this game to run properly via my twin 6870's..

What in-game settings do you use for Skyrim..??
I'm getting misplaced place markers and GUI problems..

normally this game runs fine - 12.7 (26) BETA is the exception
earlier drivers don't give me this problem..

there are other 12.7 (26) BETA users with the same problem..

    - are you playing full-screen?

It's a known problem, it's been reported on a few forums now. You can get around it until AMD fixes the bug by changing the shadows from ultra to high.

Not a single problem with 12.4 WHQL and now 12.7 Beta (26).
I dont use ATIMan and Driver Sweeper.

...and i use MSI Afterburner for capping the fps to 59.

Same for me mate. I seriously spent 2 days eliminating/trouble shooting my system and its these drivers, or its something to do with overclocking that has changed i think.

Are you oc'ing at all ??

Im still copying the 2 atixxx.dll's and using -xcl mode through afterburner.

Either way i got sick of jumping through hoops with AMD, and relying on no longer supported tools (RadeonPro)

I found a simple fix though to all my problems though......
Its called a KFA2 GTX 680 Ltd Ed OC
Oh its nice to back on the other side it really is.
    nVidia inspector, EVGA precision......

I'm using a asus rampage 2 extreme (bios 1802 1 1/2 years old ) there's 3 newer bios's available , so i guess at least with my combo , the bios doesn't need to be up to date lol

still no issue's with the beta's

    - scaling shadows down from Ultra to High cured it..!!

I overclock through Overdrive only. I got the same thing on stock clocks.

Doesn't changing AA from Adaptive to Multi Sampling only..solve that issue?

I get a lot of driver stopped responding crashes when I launch BF3 through chrome. dunno if chrome is related to the problem, but the 12.3 didnt have this problem.

don't think so, even using only x2 ingame AA i still get immense slow down, if it is an AA problem its just another thing for AMD to sort out.

I do have ugridloads=7 with that cell buffer thingy=64 but that should not cause the outdoor jerkiness.

OverDrive has started to disappear again :3eyes:

I'm glad for you. For me, I get insane stuttering indoors and slightly outdoors. Capping the FPS to 59 helps somewhat, running in windowed mode 100% fixes it. It's a pretty strange situation but there you go.

    500w on a 6950HD and i5 not good.Try for 650W or 700W.

A quality 500w is more than enough for that setup. Total power consumption would be <350w under full load.
