I see you are running Crossfire. Try and disable crossfire and then enable it again then see if it is better :)

    Do you have a 7970 or 7950?

Try flashing it with no drivers installed.

well the flash went good then i switched to the 12.7 but there is no voltage control it crashed on the first run cause msi afterburner wasn't applying any extra voltage.

Monitor the voltage with GPU-Z and you will notice that although Both Afterburner AND TRixx are changing *SOMETHING* (both programs catch each others' voltage changes), it doesn't seem to be the 3D voltage (is this called Boost voltage on the ghz editions??) being applied, so no, you dont have voltage control apparently. Perhaps when you use overdrive, the boost voltage automatically becomes the 3D voltage, but someone said that Trixx and AB are controlling the "1000 mhz" voltage (whatever that is).

Thats odd, I still have a drop down menu for Aux voltage, memory voltage and core voltage. I also still have the +20% power option which I enable on both of my cards.

I can't comment on the voltage not changing, it seems to apply it on this end. I wonder if it has to so with the vendor of the cards?

Since some people are flashing reference design cards, and some are flashing custom design PCB's. This could differ with the behavior of the voltage settings? Maybe this has something to do with it?

It has me curious, since with custom PCB's, comes voltage and power tweaks with a special BIOS for those cards.

I am able to apply Voltage and it stick with no crashing or BSOD at all.

Did you check in GPU-Z to see if the voltage has actually changed?
It's one thing to have the sliders and have them stick, but it's another thing to not have them have any effect.

Try setting your voltage to 1.3v and then run GPU-Z and a game; your load voltage should be significantly above 1.2v.

Yes it's changed, I have it at 1.25 currently. I tried 1.3v, but it was a tad too high and crashed the drivers as they stopped responding.

I understand what you are thinking, but all programs report it being changed.

This set isn't leaked. This is an Official beta on AMD's website.

As for leaked drivers, no idea we never do.

will they ever release the non-flickering wqhl driver and with better perfomance then 12.4whql on 5000 series? Because that drivers 12.6 and 12.7 are bad like a hell for me.

Yes the programs report it as being changed on mine, too, but the real time voltage monitoring in GPU-Z shows the exact same load voltage regadless of what the sliders show.

Can you tell me exactly what you did to change the voltage after you crossflashed your card to the ghz edition?

I just adjusted the sliders in MSI Afterburner, nothing more. I just updated to 2.2.3 to see if it wouldn't set, but it still did.

I'm not sure about the problems you are having with it not setting, but it is on this end. I've monitored it with GPU-Z and it sticks. Although like I said, I can't do 1.3v as it crashes the drivers and they stop responding but they DO recover.

1.25 seems to work just fine though. Even on stock voltage, I can do 1150/1575 just fine. So I only changed it to see if it would apply and stick. I run stock voltage, as I see no need to go above my clocks with Crossfire.

Forgot to add, I use the full +20% power on both cards with stock voltage for 24/7 use.

Does your 2nd GPU power setting stick ? I set mine in CCC and it goes back to 0%. Ihave to launch a app to get it to stick.

Regardless if it's leaked or not, I really desire a new driver which has Blacklight Retribution + Max Payne 3 performance fixes.

Hmm, that's strange. The sliders work on mine but the voltage isn't being changed. However I *DID* notice that when i had overdrive off and was scrolling a window deliberately, I saw the GPU voltage went from 300 to 500 then to 1050, and back to 300. Sometimes I saw it at 1000 even. I think that is the voltage that AB And Trixx are controlling.

I set the voltage to 1225mv, but the 3d voltage did NOT change....Afterburner reported 1187mv no matter what the slider was.
What's strange was, there was no way for me to activate the 1000 mhz speed by running a game.

If I enable overdrive, the 500 and the momentray 1000 mhz both disappear and the card goes from 300/150 directly to 1150/1700. So I can only guess that AB/Trixx are controlling the 1000 mhz voltage, as another person said, while the overdrive speed is linked to the boost voltage.

I honestly have no clue how you got it linked to the overdrive speed! I tested on both XP and W7...

arfff bad news : rolling back to 12.6 make me "driver stopped responding has successfully recovered" :bang:

rolling back again and again and the winner is ..... 12.4 WHQL ! Played a lot and no problem with these. Hope the next driver will fix this !
