Are you saying that 12.5 beta minimum frames are higher, and max frames jump a lot higher than 12.4 beta/whql?

I only need the minimum to be as close to Vsync as possible... SUSTAINED....don't care about another 50 FPS if min and average are about the same as before.

With 8xEQAA, I just need the FPS to be stable.

I'm still on 12.4 beta after a fresh Windows 7 install.. Working stable with no problems.

Hey mate what do you mean with crossfireX profile? Doesn't the drivers detect the game and add the settings for the duel cards? I never had to do that with my nv cards before. Like its smooth when its at 120fps but around 80 its choppy alittle and if i turn off the cfx its smooth as hell. Any dips below 40 should be slow not 80 , its like the timming is out of sync "microstutter"

The average is higher, and the minimum is higher

12.3 WHQL for example I got between 250 and 290FPS, and it would go up and down like a jackrabbit on crack, 12.4 WHQL it pretty much sticks at 278FPS and then lives there

it is the greatest driver for me till now, I've notice a lot of improvements in performance and stability in my HD mobile 5650, but if you but the mobility driver link for other people in the first post it will be great

Real issues with these drivers and Crossfire.

AMD board and crossfire refuse to run.
Intel board and crossfire refuse to run.

This is after a fresh install with updates.

so gladi took a system image before messing with these. My whole weekend would of been disrupted.

Anyone elsetried these with HD7970's in crossfire?

    R.

there is no risen2 profile in the latest beta leak, not in CAP or dx9 dll, have you tried forcing risen's profile assuming they didnt change the engine much? well the original isnt much of a profile actually... CompatAFR-1x1.exe (i think this is 'Optimize 1x1' in CCC's list)

question, is your monitor 120hz or 60hz? is vsync on?

about this, ATI is clear and know your bugs, trying, http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401&pid=1156354&st=0&#entry1156354all times to solve the problem, but green as they say, or respond on their forums, consumers are left in neglect, with real flaws that have never solution, 400 and 500 series are a bug chip architecture more thousand pages and their problems are still unsolved. from there my jump to ati,you can chek, in the post, but I have my own nickname, will be with kapitank. the truth is that every company has its problems and nvidia does not escape from it, particularly had a couple of 480 in sli, that could work perfectly in this time, but having them, was untenable, never failed to fail,
crashed into each moment, sold and people have had no problems, I think it was imcompatibilidad with my systems(x58 gibabyte and asus), but the truth is, I returned to the nvidia again similar situation happened with a couple of 8800gtx. gtx280 was my better pair of nvidia (love my olds 280)

I want to present here is that every company has problems with their drivers, or their products, but I think ati is much more stable than nvidia, nvidia and I am clear that in many ways surpasses ati, I mean image quality, anisotropic filter vibrates moving ati, nvidia runs much more fluid game with high values of AA, opengl applications (rage for example). etc, etc, etc. despite knowing this, I'm with ati for now, of course I speak that I have couple of 6990, more than $ 1400 at the time, not including coolers, water. with nvidia, watching a video on youtube ridiculous, I crash the pc, how are you???? I really want that ati, put more effort in support of their drivers, that's all, because my point of view, seems to me that even the manufacturers of play, were cospires to out of the market by ati, dont is paranoia, I mean, look at the example of rage, pulls out a game with two options in its configuration, only activated with nvidia. CPU transcoding and texture detail. phycs mafia nvidia in crossfire on BF3 unplayable 6990, for good luck mine, I can play ultra at 1920x1080 with a single card. I makes me think seriously!

good bay and remenber green have problems same!

sorry for my disaster english, I speak spanish and use gooooooogle traslator :D

    Rolled Back!

I am sorry to say that I had to roll back to 12.3 to get a working system. The 12.4s were just broken on my machine. My frames per sec were just as bad as dog meat and slow. Now on 12.3 and its smooth again. Also just wanted to ask or beg anyones help in unlocking the 2 gpu limit in Skyrim. I tried extracting the XML file but couldn't figure out how to properly install it back in place.

    Thanks.

It seems that when I installed the driver 12.04 WHQL everything has been fine, no microstuttering in BF3, but now after a few days back the microstuttering not understand anything.
If someone feels the same but, I owe the help.

I haven't had a chance to test my small selection of games with the 12.4 drivers yet, but I'll probably be rolling back to 12.3 before I get the chance. The 12.4 driver is causing some rather strange behavior while F@H is running. The GPU is unable to maintain 100% load, frequently dropping down to 10%. Didn't have this issue with 12.3.

I know this is an odd request, but could someone run F@H GPU on an HD7870 with the 12.4 driver and see if they experience anything similar? Need to find a solution to this problem ASAP.

I thought it was because i flashed my cards bios...

BUT i went back down to 12.3 and i had no problem with my second card getting out of ULPS mode....

It seems like the 12.4 driver keeps the second card in crossfire in ULPS mode and its really slow.

I went and disabled ULPS in the registry and things got better.

If you have crossfire better skip 12.4 ...

Do we have any Crossfire HD7970 users in the house running intel sandybridge 2600k ???

cant get these working and have same issues on amd3 with 1090t cpu.

12.3 are fine apart from my second gpu running stock core speeds in desktop rather than 0 core.

    anyone ??

I want to make one thing clear before i start

im not trolling im just angry. lol

i cant beleive amd have brocken a very important feature with these drivers. this is to be expected with betas, but not whql.

As much as i love my rig i would sell my 2x7970 if i had the chance.

but i guess nvidia have driver issues too?

i wonder if amd use ITIL change management and release management in the IT devision?

anyway, 12.3 whql are giving me what i need apart from high clocks in desktop.

    12.4 are fail.

    nevermind.

I tried to disable the HT in my 2600K, and continues to micro-stuttering.
it is advisable for the 2600K? Enable or disable HT?
