    OFF TOPIC,

But I have to say that every time I see Christan Bale in any film I think of AMD and Asder.

In fact, I think I'd be pretty disappointed to find out that Asder really isn't Christan Bale.

Just in case, I thought the Machinists was underrated and Empire of the Sun is one of my all time favs.

    P.S.- Personally I think you'd make a better :007: than Dan.

People venting is acceptable, do not turn it into repetitive non sense.

Some will be banned soon, no infractions, just banned.

Edit: Couple of users banned and some will just take 1 more wrong post.

What the hell! AA is broken even more! I can't see the difference between no AA and 8x MSAA.

    SS3 supports 4xMSAA in game.

Are you trying to override? In that case, turn it off in game, then override in CCC

After some testing, i've found my performance has grown substantially, in both Farcry 3 and BF3.
    Really happy with these.

It isn't just this game. Ever since I have my new rig I can see choppy edges in every game no matter how many samples of AA I use (but still using adaptive AA).

Adaptive AA doesnt always work. The game has to use transparent textures, if it doesnt, its just MSAA, or sometimes nothing at all.

Id start with MSAA, if that works, try SSAA, if that works, then try AAA.

    Choose the best one.

SSAA is too heavy on performance and I have to use 8x to get rid of all choppiness. But AAA was always good enough on my previous systems, even on my laptop. But not here. Could it be caused by LCD display?

perhaps, you should see at least some improvement.

However, like i said AAA doesnt always work.

SSAA is BETTER than AAA. AAA does MSAA all non-transparent textures, and SSAA on all transparent textures.

Are you sure your resolution is set for native? Laptop LCD have atrocious scaling.

Yes, I have native resolution (1080p). But there is still not much difference between no AA and 8x AAA.

I have massive stuttering on CFX with 2 6970, catalyst beta 8 and the latest cap.

With only 1 vga I haven't stuttering, but with two it's unplayble.

One of the most beautiful things said in here since I went on my tirade a long while back. I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I just quit coming in here because it never ends, it's always the same crap-slinging-fest with VERY few relevant posts and answers.
It got so bad that Reverend Hilbert even set a couple extra Gurus aside to moderate JUST THIS FORUM.

I even recinded my Guru3D status at one time, even sent in a letter of resignation due to the imbalance of childish opinions, but was talked out of it by a couple good friends here.

While it's *slightly* better in here than it was for a couple years, it still sucks to come in here trying to find any info on the newest drivers and find the same 'ol (with the same usual suspects and a BUNCH of new ones).
(FWIW, I haven't found ANY good info in here for quite some time - it's just bashing and bitching)

I've learned my lesson though. I've been going elsewhere for driver release information and found those forums to be a lot more civilized - sad, because Guru3D used to be THE PINNACLE of information on driver releases on the entire internet... until the forums were overrun.

@rflair: I said it before you were made Mod of this forum and I'm going to say it again. GOOD LUCK. You have more work cut out for you than any other subforum here. I think your banhammer should be a little heavier!

Anyone test the new BETA 11, CAP2, and game update 1.02 with Far Cry 3 using crossfire yet? Wondering if there is any improvement and does it fix the stupid stutter!?

Having to play on 1 card at the moment with ultra settings (water medium), no aa and alpha foliage on standard.

1080p here, alpha enhanced, 8xAAA through CCC, FXAA on ultra, many settings through RadeonPro, result: smooth 60fps no-drops, 1.01v and now 1.02v :)
