"Alpha To Coverage" doesn't reduce it for me in most cases, but i noticed FPS drop while looking at far distant rendered vegetation (with many bushes and such) in situation where video settings set to "ultra"...more noticeably when it become agitated when through vegetation walks NPC or creatures.

As for "GPU Max Buffered Frames - 0" - it's strange...maybe you have forced vsync in drivers? Or maybe 6000-series works with it better...

Dunno - didn't touch anything in Catalyst Control Center panel...
By default in Catalyst Control Center V-Sync is: "Off, Unless Application Specifies"...
In game it's off too so it's disabled permanently...

As for "GPU Max Buffered Frames" - as i mentioned before:

    * at "OFF" there are some fps drops (random stuttering?)
    * at "1" game runs ok
    * above "1" ("2-5") IMO it's no difference and fps are the same as at "1"...

SweetFX works fine with Far Cry 3, if used through RadeonPro (the latest 1.1.1.0 preview). You can select it from the settings menu, then change it as you like from the configurator. I have SweetFX set, and also using SMAA antialiasing, and the game works great!. I have noticed with the latest preview release of RadeonPro the OSD frame counter can't be turned off, but surprisingly it isn't annoying, and it can be useful to keep an eye on the framerate :)

Yeah, you have to disable one GPU by setting a custom profile with Disabled CF for Far Cry 3 in CCC. It worked fine for my HD5970 and still can run the game @ Very High sets (ULTRA if I want to play @ +30 FPS). No doubt your GFX can too.

Come on AMD, pull your thumbs out of your butts and release Beta 9

Getting sick and tired of profiles not working, this is getting flat out stupid now. You released 3 drivers back to back in as little as a week, now a driver problem has come up EVERYONE is getting and no release beta9 to fix it

Dunno how you can set a custom profile when profiles with 12.11 beta8 aren't running

I sent as asder a private message to upload a 12.11 beta8 with a older version of CCC/Caps etc, so at least all of us can use driver profiles again

The profile issue doesn't affect me one bit, since I don't use profiles. But I do see why it would be a problem for many :/

@ Valagard This was posted in another thread. Do this and you should be able to create profiles like before.

Apparently in the Far Cry 3 article from Guru3D AMD is releasing new drivers next week, maybe they're WHQL and beta for 12.12.

    12.12 beta, 12.11 official whatever...

I hope the XBMC font issue is fixed. It's the only issue with 12.11 I had. I missed out on bigtime gaming performance because of that :realmad:
