I experience significant longer shut down times with beta 4 and 6. B7 I have not tested yet, but it only happens on shutdowns not on restart.

Did you edit the MSIafterburner.cfg file ?

Setting the Uoc mode to 2 plus the .dll files works for me. :)

Ever since 12.9 beta, outdoor shadows wouldn't appear if I set them to ultra. I have no idea why, I'm just happy that they work again. :invasion:

I downloaded and installed again but it's still not working.. Here's the log:

It still won't install the display driver or CCC. Any suggestions? I did run ATIman and remove all the old previous drivers and such.

12.11b7 in comparison to 12.11b4 has about 1% lower performance in Luxmark which is still huge boost in comparison to older drivers.
AvP 2011 has 1.5% decrease in perf, but textures looks bit better (min. 95fps, avg. 112fps).
Skyrim has back in normal=visible Global outdoors shadows when set to Ultra.
I would say it's step in right direction.
Tested on HD7970 GHz Ed. BIOS 1050/1500MHz.

    - cheers for that..:)

    - they appear to run on 6*** series hardware - at least, on 6870's
    - they're still low on fps in my Heaven benchmark (maxing @ 59.7)
    - no problems with Skyrim and BF3, though - both run smoothly..

    - Flash Player 11 is running OK, within the ie10 (Windows7) preview with .NET Framework 4.5

Don't know why but after today update from 12.10 to 12.11 Beta 7 my CCC shortcut in context menu just disappeared forever!

    I've checked registry entry first - HKEY-CLASSES-ROOT/Directory/Background/shellex/ContextMenuHandlers/ACE - and what I saw?

    Proper string and proper value: {5E2121EE-0300-11D4-8D3B-444553540000}

Don't know what the hell is going on - I tried to reinstall and install older drivers like 12.8, 12.9 Beta, 12.10 - no luck - CCC shortcut in context menu just disappeared forever!

Also I've checked this solution: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...l-center-add-remove-desktop-context-menu.html

Still no luck - someone else can confirm this issue?

    Thanks!
    -----------------

Oh and BTW - Dishonored still crashes to desktop when changing resolution...
On 12.10 problem doesn't occur and game is stable...

Uninstall drivers > run ATI Crap Cleaner (Link in this forum somewhere) reboot, run crap cleaner again > reboot > install 12.11 b7

I still get the black screen (in the CCC window) when I go to color settings in the CCC. :bang:

@Extraordinary: I've found ATI Crap Cleaner:
And used it like you said but unfortunately it didn't help me - still there is no CCC shortcut in context menu - don't know why - it's not my first update/reinstall of Catalyst drivers and I'm suprised how it all went...

    What else can I do?

Not sure really, system restore ?

I'm having problems with this driver now too, Sleeping Dogs just vanished in the middle of a game, CTD, tried to load up Firefox and graphics were all over the place, URL bar was halfway down the screen, couldn't click on anything, Chrome did the same, not responding etc

Had to reboot to fix everything

Weak driver, AMD needs to pull their fingers out ASAP

I had another 'driver stopped.. but recovered' error today, but this time there wasn't an event id 9003 or 9009 that accompanied it.

I am now testing to see whether it was the cpu or gpu oc that caused it. The cpu is back down to 3.6ghz from the 3.625 (250 x 14.5) it was at when the driver crash occured. It was actually closer to 3.65ghz because the mobo likes to add 1-2mhz to the fsb...

Maybe you run too much crap cleaners in your system.
