My 7850 is still stuck at 1200mhz memory at idle.
Before you try what I said in my previous post, find out if the High Precision Event Timer, HPET, is on or off in your bios. Then run the command prompt as Admin and type one of the following...
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true - (then reboot) enable HPET
bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock - (then reboot) disable HPET
Some games/ apps seem to prefer on or the other..
Air, normal. But the cold days just started in my country and so far we haven't been using heating in the house. Also, I'm smoking and the balcony-door is open. Special case
Normally it would be 27-30+.
By the way, the clocks have been fixed, indeed. Mozilla is still blocking 12.8 and ownards on Windows 8. On Windows 7 only 12.8 is blocked, I think.
It remains unfixed in latest 12.11 beta 6 release.
i.e. I can reproduce it with a page like this (no flash player or animations or images, just simple text, and I can arrive to 3d clocks easily just scrolling up and down !!).
This is a lack of cooperation between Firefox and Amd teams.
Nvidia released a fix for a similar issue in September 2011.
So I wonder, why not AMD?
Now that my 7950 was for RMA, on my GTX460, Fx's behavior was great.
The clocks were mostly on idle ( 50Mhz ) and the load was going as high as 50% without waking 3D clocks -and don't forget we're talking about only 50Mhz, not 300Mhz I currently have on idle!
Since I got this card I'm complaining about this here and there, but... nothing is happening. Currently the didn't block because of the clocks behavior, but because there were crashes. AMD drivers have memory corruptions -something about 2D performance. Don't expect smoother clocks.
Please link me to these 12.11 beta 6 drivers? I have not seen any updates since the 12.11 beta's were first released?? I keep seeing people talking about new beta version but I got to AMD site and in the beta section it only stats 12.11 beta and not the beta version?
LOL thanks I was confused for a bit about new beta versions seeing people post them. I just didn't check the first page of the topic. Thanks.
Here you go:
What you linked, weah, is not beta 6.
Better check here: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx
Please read my second quote added a few minutes ago in my previous post.
That's not beta 6 either.
Rofl. Let the confusion commence. Although the 12.11 listed there does have a date of 11/7/2012.
You're right, I didn't see the date.
That aside - would you like me to dump my bios so you can try flash it?
Clock info etc here:
I have the window open too. ahah..
These temps I'm seeing say alot for how efficient the 7000 series are.
I wonder if Nvidia's 600s do as well...
42c 1250 mhz gpu, dx10 Unigine Heaven 2.1 - 2 passes
is there any other improvement besides idle clock bug fixes ?
because i didn't have idle clock bug.
This (According to atidxx32.dll) seems to have a profile for Assassins Creed 3 (DX11) though I couldn't find Black Ops 2 which was also mentioned, will probably arrive later.
stil geting black screem in vídeo color setings stil geting black sun in batelfield 3 in some levels and like others upstairs no performance improvements this drivers are all the same shi..... sorry for my words and my bad writing sometimes i guess that the ati team are sleeping or realy dumb
Maybe it's not them that are dumb, but someone who can't get their system running properly?
I can confirm that idle clock bug is fixed now!
