Looks like they are not available.
I get green video in internet videos :/ again.
Ok, so my laptop has a 7690M XT and both CCC and GPU-Z identified it as a 7690M XT when I had the stock drivers that came with the laptop.
Now after I removed them and installed these 12.1 drivers, both CCC and GPU-Z identify my GPU as the Radeon 6700M series.
The 7690M is supposed to have its memory clock at 900MHZ compared to the 6700M's 800MHZ. But both GPU-Z and CCC now list the clock at 800MHZ. Does it mean that these drivers have somehow underclocked my GPU?
Will install this on the M18X with dual 6990M and report back
im on m17x with same card, waiting your report
With my 5970 i think i will skip this, 8.95 are working smooth on my card.
Well looks like ATI is requiring the complete install now. If you install the the driver from device manager you get an error that msvcr100.dll is missing when running WEI. This started with 11.12 :wanker:
I think it says somewhere that 7000 series cards should still be using the 8.921.2 RC11 AMD Radeon™ HD 7900 driver. If you look in the release notes, the 7000 cards are not listed with the 12.1 driver. I would go back to the original drivers you had.
This driver seems to give slightly better performance but colors seem slightly faded and duller.
I saw that, but it's only for the 7900 series. The 7690M is just a rebadged 6770M with a higher memory clock. I can still play Skyrim and BF3 without crashes with these drivers. I was only wondering if they can actually make the memory clock on my GPU run 100MHz slower.
Funnily enough, the only game that repeatedly froze and crashed on my laptop was Dragon Age 2. But it was doing that even with the stock drivers.
Awesomest release notes:
Resolved Issues for the Windows® 7 Operating System
•The game “Rage” no longer experiences intermittent hangs when Crossfire is enabled.
Known issues under the Windows® 7 operating system
•Launching Rage with Crossfire enabled may cause the application to hang.
There's no 12.1 driver for people who just want the plain driver without CCC ??
Nope and ATI has borked the install via device mgr. :3eyes:
I'm getting NVIDIA next time ... f this garbage
I feel your pain but even Nvidia has their share of driver issues. I had to put up with many releases where the driver would stop responding. Honestly most of these drivers on generic systems without CF run about the same. I've tried everyone and 90% of my games perform the same.
honestly, i think the only issue with amd is their uninstall is crap.
ive yet to find someone who doesn't use the newest atiman that has install issues...
lol, ive just noticed 12.1whql has been put up on AMD website, it makes me laugh how they always wait till the eleventh hour to do this.
