    Apologies if this has been brought up, but my one of my two standard new driver tests failed huge with 11.6.

    Furmark 1.8.2 - basically equal to driver 11.2 hotfix

    Heaven 2.5 - average down to 24.4 from 38.3 compared to 11.2 hotfix

    All settings the same...but this time, for the first time in years, I uninstalled 11.2 and reinstalled 11.6 without all the driver cleaner rputine (driver cleaner borked my system a couple of months ago during a standard vid driver update).

    Any idea why my Heaven is down 37%?

    DirectX 11
    Shaders = high
    Tessellation (DX11) = Normal
    AF = 8
    AA = 4
    Full screen
    1680x1050
    Vysnc = on (special menu setting) + D3D-enabled triple buffering

    i dont suppose you need the amd media codec package to have the steady video option show up on a reference 6950 2gb or am I missing something obvious here?

    these drivers are great. well i never had a whql driver issue ever. my only problem is 2d to 3d switching. i open 3d up and close it then oc im great. other then eyecandy (dx11) very stable. just hit 4.9 @ 1.40 volt on my 2500k. and stable. no crash. for me amd/ati is cool until my 570 comes. XD

    These drivers have been nothing short of outstanding. I've never seen Metro 2033 run so damn smooth before. Averaging 60 fps on 1080p with minimum not going below 25 fps. Running very high dx11 w/ tessellation on, DOF off, Advanced PhysX off. GG AMD.

    Fresh win7 64bit install, fresh install of 11.6 drivers, no issues at all. Everything smooth. Going to test some games out soon, but video playback is great, no BSOD.

    Peace

    Best drivers for my Crossfire so far, have increases on most of games/benchs plus non bugs at all by now. Only using the driver set without Caps.

    Games tested : Witcher 2, Dirt 3, Crysis 2, Shift 2 and Metro 2033.

    I´m so happy ^^

    This is odd...:confused:

    Can anyone verify a performance increase in Shift2/f1/Dirt3 with hardware acceleration unchecked in flash options?

    Can anyone tell me why the basic options are still ****ing retarded? Even the GPU scaling is still full retard style, it cannot be adjusted while in native res. What the hell is wrong with those morons?
    I hope you enjoyed paying 3 times what I paid for a 6950 which now that it's unlocked and overclocked matches your 580.

    You do know that the release notes have been up for like 12 hours now... right?

    Now if you'll excuse us, we have a serious topic going around here, go play with the other green kids in your own thread please.

    these drivers are seriously awesome.. minor fps boosts in all games n a dramatic increase in smoothness.. only set since 10.10 that has increased performance.. witcher 2's running a lot better(finally!).. thought amd forgot bout us 4xxx guys.. or maybe this happened by chance.. hmmm.. wouldnt be surprised if 11.7 messes everything up again..

    albeit.. BSOD'd while watching a vid on youtube..

    :p eh happened once while live streaming the lunar eclipse.. hasnt happened since..

    with amd i've learned that if somethings been fixed then something else will be broken.. its never been perfect.. overall 11.6 is still good in my books..

    So it practically craps out on you once in a blue (red?) moon, then? =b

    +1.
    I personally don't have any beef with 11.6 (works perfectly on both my laptop & desktop), but the swathe of BSOD problems people have kinda makes me tick.
